Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby djvsuf on July 18th, 2005, 10:55 pm
change Giant drop to hellevator like the one in Colorado.

Change Raging Bull to Nitro since it is fast or call it the running of the bulls.

Change viper to Rattlesnake

Change the fun machine to the Scrambler.

Change east river crawler back to the lobster or the octopus.

Change revolution to revalation.

Change Deamon to the looping or something like that.

Change Deja Vu to "The Crusader" - Give it a medival knight with christian right wing undertones.

Then give us back all of the theming that has been taken away from Demon over the years.

When those reliable right wing nut jobs start to complain about the horrible "satanic images" of the Demon the park can point to the "new" Crusader across from the Demon. It would be kind of a mock battle between the two.

Since that part of County Fair kind of sits off by itself, give it a medival feel. Maybe some stone fountains / statues closer to the bridge to give our Trolls a better place to haunt during fright fest since they lost the other fountain.

Heck I'm sure SFSTL could contribute their Highland Fling theming for the Orbit as they probably won't be using it soon.
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.

I'm gonna shift from rides to food kiosks and restaurants and the names are as follows:

Fiesta Fries can add the word 'fresh' in between the two words since the fries are cooked directly from potatoes, making the kiosk a unique place for fries.

Watering Hole can be known as Gold Rush Inn since they sell you too much food on a serving! Who can eat a jumbo jumbo hot dog and an enormous amount of fries? What a waste.

Aunt Marthas can keep its name, as does Firehouse.

Maw and Paws Trail Grub can be renamed Log Cabin Roasted Corn.

Angelo's Pizza can change to Pizza On The Sea, then add a variety of fish on the menu.

And finally, Mooseburger should be changed to 'Where's The Bathroom?' Pub and Grill since the employees in there have been asked about 300 times a day where the bathroom is. Please put a sign in there warning them there's no restroom, and that it's just outside around the corner!!! Sheesh. And add chicken cutlets to the menu if possible.
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.

Hear ye, hear ye: "After 45 years, Six Flags has stopped smoking."

My neighbor wont go on it because he says that the back train always comes off the track. He also said that shockwave didnt go through the loop once and rolled back and also that someone died from excessive headbanging on shockwave.

Giant Drop should be "The Only Ride at the Park That Can Make Me Throw Up"

Superman: I would add some burning scenes and call it Fire Flighter.

Ice Mountain Splash: Yankee Clipper.

Iron Wolf: The Nutcracker. (You know this is true) or on a more creative note: Standing Ovation.

Fiddlers' Fling: Fiddler's Flung (The name sounds better this way)

Sky Trek Tower: Windy City Lookout

That's it for now, if i think of more i will post. And, by the way, one of my good friends' name is Ralph. Go RALPHIE!!!
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter :(

No one ever died from headbanging on ShockWave, nor did it ever NOT make it through the ride circuit. What kind of crackhead told you that. Anyhoo, yes AE's trains jump on the track, but never completely derails, it's just a rough ride.

My name changes go as follows.

B:TR---Batman:If it ain't broke don't fix it. (the black paint was perfect, B:TR was supposed to be a dark dreary out of the sewer system theme....now it looks like is came out of the old 60's Batman man series..Holy craptastic new paint job Batman!!!!!!!!)

Iron Wolf--- Better off in the scrapyard with Shockwave

Jesters Wild Ride---Jesters big boring ride

S:UF---Superman so-so flight

Giant Drop---Believe it or not, this ride used to have a line!!!!!

AE---I need a paint job

Space Shuttle America/Dino Island 3D/Stargate---tear me down, build a floorless

Welcome to ShockWave please pull your harness down as far as it will go. While riding ShockWave please keep your hands and feet inside the car, and your head against the headrest, please hold on to all loose articles, especially hats and glasses. Enjoy your ride!

I know hes a fool, hes really wierd also. I told them if ae's back train came off the track they would close the ride and fix it or take it down. Another stupid thing he said is that batman didnt have block brakes so the ride ops went really fast closing all the harnesses so that they could send they next train so that they didnt crash. Is he wierd or what?

Well you go ahead and tell him that IF AE's train EVER came off the tracks, it would be ALL over the news....I've never heard it, have you? Same thing with the "so-called" death by headbanging on Shockwave or it not making it through the first loop and rolling back, since there were NO stairs or catwalks in the area, it's a safe bet for anyone who's never worked at the park to gather that that's not a problem. If that ever happened, there would be stairs and catwalks there to evacuate the passengers, one time having to call in the Gurnee cherry pickers would have been enough for SF to say, hey, maybe we should put something there, if that happens often, it costs a fortune to contact the Village of Gurnee to bail us out. Much like there is one in the cobra loop on Deja Vu. DUH......that sounds to me like the strange Urban legend that everyone has seen a coaster stuck upside down in a loop, LONG before it actually ever happened. SFGAm has the only coaster to EVER get stuck upside down in a loop, and that was just a freaky coincidence, the axel could have jammed in ANY part of the track, it just happened to jam in the middle of the loop.

Crazy people make up stupid stories, and gullable folks will just pass it on. Pretty soon people are spreading it like it's true.
