Anyone who has braces knows what I'm talking about.

I just got rubber bands on my top braces (already had rubber bands on the bottoms) + I have to have them go diagnolly across. This hurts SO BAD!!!!!!!!!!

Who else has braces here and knows what I'm talking about?

I've had my braces off for a few years. Too bad I wore my retainer 1% of the time I was supposed to wear it. My teeth look like crap again (well, not as bad as they used to)

I used to have braces and wear my retainer as much as I can remember to wear it. Teeth still look decent and all, but I never really got any pain when I had my braces on. A little tight for maybe the first hour or so but nothing after that.

I had braces a few years ago, thank god there're off! Yes, I do remember intense pain in my teeth everytime they tightend them or put new rubberbands in them, it was a pain in the @ss to eat as well.

Braces suck so badly I can't even explain it. For one, they hurt so badly. Plus, it's a pain to eat (as said earlier).

oh god, i hated braces. I had them from the middle of sixth grade to the beginning of freshman year. I wore my retainer for three months, never had an appointment to get it checked, so i stopped wearing it. I hated the one for the bottom teeth that was cemented to the teeth. My mouth never hurt really bad, except when i got them on, and i only had rubber bands for the last few weeks before i got my braces off.

Braces weren't bad at all for me, but what got me was the Herbst (sp?) appliance. Not very many people need these installed, but I had an enormous overbite, so the ortho literally put hinges in my mouth so I'd bite down properly. Not fun times with the Herbst at all. But, luckily, I found a way to undo the hinges, for moments of relief here and there.

i feel your pain !!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE BRACES!!!!!!! i have them rightnow and i cannot stand them, i have to wear rubber bands now and the hurt worse than braces!
