Mid-Season Awards

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Being July and i've seen what the park has done to improve things, here are what I believe to be the best of them

5.Hurricane Harbor- While dozens of contreversies have arose from this, and it's not what it could be, it's still a great place to be and keeps the park nice and empty.
4. Adding groupers to Whizzer- Now whizzer's line moves a LOT smoother
3. Adding groupers to Viper- What I just said.
2.Refurbishing their old rides- Condor, Logger's Run, and TP all run much better now and look better too...and condor will as well when it opens up.
1. No Suprise- Deja Vu- the old green thing in the park that was a mechanical nightmare is running superbly. I can't say enough about this and I don't even like the thing.

Let me know what ya think and give your own awards.

My award goes out to the Ride-Ops, and their new spiels.

From Deja Vu, to the ride-op on Raging Bull singing "If your happy and you know it....." Brings something new, and different to the park.

I would agree with all of your comments except No 1.
Maybe its my bad luck, but the ride has yet to be open at the start of any day i have went(and im guessing i have been to the park 6-8 times) and when it has opened it suffered from alot of breakdowns and has long lines, i would like one time to have the ride open at park opening so i could ride it without long lines due to the way too long boarding/restraint checks that kills capacity.
I think HH has been a great addition to the park and kudo's too SFGAM for adding it.(now if they just had free tube rentals like HW it would be really great)

1. Hurricane Harbor. It brings more people to the park. Which will help six flags get more money. Which means more for us in return.
Well actually it just means that they get more out of debt.
