So this year, my extended family, which ranges from Minnesota to Wisconsin, to Illinois decided to take a trip to the Dells as a mini family reunion.
I left with my aunt and my grandpa around 9:30 on Saturday morning to get to the dells by noon. Needless to say, we hit horrible traffic with a car accident and stuff, and we didn't get there until one. I knew as soon as I got there, I wanted to go to Mount Olympus to ride Hades, but since my little brother was there, we had to go to little kid rides. We drove over to Riverview and Waterworld around two, with the warning that we weren't allowed to go on any water rides, because my dad didn't want us to get wet, blah. So my first day consisted of watching my ten year old brother ride on all the little kid rides for three hours. After that, it was back to the pool, and relaxation before dinner at Houlihans, since it was right next door to our hotel. After that, bed.
Woke up around nine the next morning, and found out my dad had made a reservation at a place where the admission to Mount Olympus was included in the price to stay at that hotel, so I was happy. We left around ten, and headed to the park. As soon as we got our wristbands, we headed over to Hades. I rode Hades third row once, and I thought it was awesome. I love the under the parking lot feel. I don't know why, I just liked it.
After Hades, we headed over to Posiden, and rode the go karts. After that, we headed down towards the waterpark, and rode disko. My brother got sick, so we decided to make for the waterpark, in a hope that his stomach might calm down.
As soon as we got to the waterpark and changed, it started to drizzle, and it got pretty cool. I went over to Thunder and Lightning, and rode the red one (can't remember which is thunder and which is lightning). The water was freezing. I went over to the white and blue slides after that, and rode the white slide closest to the way you get up there, and rode. Then I got yelled at for riding on the tube backwards, i was sitting in the back ring of the double tube, and decided to call it a day with the waterpark.
After dragging my brother out of the waterpark, I decided to split from my dad and my brother, and went over to Cyclops. I waited around five minutes to ride in the fifth row. It was a bumpy ride, but that's what I expected I guess....
After Cyclops, I headed over to Zeus, where I waited for fifteen minutes to ride the fourth row. Someone was playing with the airgates, or they were spazzing out, since they kept moving back and forth, and annoying everyone in line. Then, the train began to pull out of the station, and they had to stop it, because some idiot in the back row tried to get a one click ride, and he got caught. Got on the ride, thought it was too short.
Met up with my dad and brother, and decided to take him on Cyclops. He was freaked out. I rode row six, and then met them at the little cafe on the hill by it.
We headed over to the Trojan Horse Go-Karts, and waited in a huge line. They were looking for one more person to ride, and my brother raised his hand. They pulled him out of line, which was only halfway through the nearly hour long wait, so my dad and I decided to leave the line, since it would make my brother wait for a half hour or more for us to ride.
We decided to ride after this because we just got bored. The lines were way to long, and I wasn't pleased being there. I thought the rollercoasters were too short, but that's my opinon.
Went downtown that night, nothing special, and left our hotel around six thirty this morning, to get back by 9:30.
After this trip, I've decided no more family vacations....
my dad wouldn't let me ride it again, he wanted us to be like a family for once and stay together, and there's no way my brother would ride hades. that kinda sucked.
I don't like GCI coasters. Yuck! You would never see me at Mt. Olympus. I wanted to go Waterworld before, but oh well. Maybe, Hades is the only good coaster they make (since everyone likes it)??? LOL
Well, if you don't like GCI coasters I don't understand why you wouldn't go to Mt. Olympus. None of there coasters are made by GCI. They are made my CCI and hades is made by Gravity Group which was once CCI! Before you post something you should know what your talking about, now you look like a moron.
Oops, I meant CCI. I actually never been on a GCI coaster. Why does it say closed at rcdb? I thought that one became the other (GCI and CCI) or something like that.
