Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Eagle has never derailed, but if you dont notice how much you shake when your near the front of the train, and the fact that the wheels sqeek and screech going around the big circle

The splash? What splash? When I went on that ride, I barely got wet. If your going to change the name of any ride to Niagra Falls it should be Splash Water Falls because that has a huge splash.

Raging Bull: Keep the name. Also, yes Bull is starting to get rough. :(

Batman The Ride: I think we should call it The flying yellow bat that sticks out like a sore thumb. I liked the black paint, sure it may look dull but Batman has a black suit. Black goes with Batman perfectly.

S:UF: Hmm...the name needs changing but I can't think of what to change it to. The main reason I would change the name is because Ultimate Flight seems dry. That part seems like it took no creative thought or effort to think up.

Viper: This coaster is a classic! YOU CAN'T CHANGE THE NAME OF CLASSIC COASTERS!

Ragin Cajun: This name actully works for what SFGAm is going for. I say keep it.

Deja Vu: Deja Vu fits this coaster perfectly.

Vertical Velocity: Keep.

Iron Wolf: I think the name needs changing. Everytime I go to the park and I ride this coaster, I don't get an Iron Wolf feel. I mean, the Wolf part works since it is among trees and such but the Iron part doesn't.

Demon: For where it is located in the park, I'd say go back to Turn of the Century. If they moved the entrance to somewhere in Southwest Territory then it would work. Plus I really like the classic feel of Turn of the Century.

Whizzer: As I said for Viper, this coaster is a classic. YOU CAN'T CHANGE THE NAME OF CLASSICS!

Ice Mountain Splash: I don't have a clue why SFGAm named this ride that because that name sucks. I'd go back to Yankee Clipper.
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/

I've always associated "Iron" with the fact that we're on an intense, steel coaster. And I thought what you thought about "Wolf".

Sponsorship, much like the way baseball parks sell out their name (point in case- U.S. Cellular Field=WTF?). You also see stuff like Pepsi Python, Pepsi Max Big One ( ) amung others. Pearsonally, I think that Icemountain Splash isn't that bad of a sponsored name compaired to some of the other ones out there.

I think you are thinking of it being a failure because it breaks down. Rides breakdown. Its a fact. SUF is not closed for days and days though. In place of Shockwave, this ride is a gem. There hardly any times I can get a walk-on with this ride. However, for the enthusiast (not me though), this ride has lost its touch.

I was thinking of as a failure because the ride is not good at all and is already becoming bad: rough, lots and lots and lots of break downs, and is boring.

OK I'm confused, isn't Ice Mountain Splash the one with the big boat and once you go down you get soaked? Or is that the 2 passenger log ride?

If so I appologize.

Ice Mountain Splash - Flume ride (small boats,4 passenger)

Loggers Run - Flume Ride ( similar to IMS but Log boats)

Splash Water Falls - Shoot the Chute (large boats with big splash)

They should re-name Ice Mountain Splash Yankee Clipper and redo all the theming. They should then rename splashwater falls Ice Mountain Splash, since theres no theming to Splashwater Falls anyways. No other coasters names should change.

Instead of renaming rides, I think that they should rename the entire property now that they have a waterpark. Six Flags Magic Mountain is called Six Flags California when you drive in off of the highway, and I think the sign on Grand Avenue and on I-94 should be changed to Six Flags Illinois, and they should just have the Great America and Hurricane Harbor logos underneath.

Ugh. What a horrible idea. Talk about losing charm and identity. Its like "Six Flags Wal-Mart" Stale, boring, silly.

And the combined properties aren't referred to as "Six Flags California" any longer. That highway sign just hasn't been changed. Six Flags dabbled in that thinking for a few years with a name like that at "Six Flags Ohio" and it didn't catch on.

I'd bet now you can't find any official from the park that says "Six Flags California"

I've came up with some new names for some of the rides currently at GAm:

Columbian Carousel = The Gurnee Galloper
Viper = Venom
Deja Vu = The Gauntlet
Giant Drop = The Guillotine
B:TR = Robin's Renegade
American Eagle = Clash of the Titans

I like DJV's change to the Gauntlet. I'd call it Run The Gauntlet.

Lets call Superman...Shockwave II. My friend has never ridden it and REFUSES to because they took Shockwave out for it. Maybe if they changed the name to number 2 he'll go on it.

Then lets call Ragin Cajun...NYC Subway. When you get off you feel like you just got mugged. (By the way thats just a stereotype subways arent that bad there).

Lets call Batman...Better Off Black. Two yellow coasters next to each other looks ridiculous, make that three including NYC Subway. The black track at night was so much better.

And yes, lets call American Eagle...Douglas.
