I was thinking and wondering if anyone else thought the same. Does SfGam favor B&M coasters over others? It seems like they do. I do to so theres nothing wrong with that, but that just seems to be whats happening.Heres the run down of the desingers:Vekoma- 2 B&M- 4 (tied for most in any park) Intamin AG- 2 Arrow- 1 Schwarzkopf- 1 Six Flags In House- 1 Reverchon: 1

Basically they get what works and whats best for the park and everyone knows B&M's are very reliable so that could be one of the reasons we have so many. Look at other parks like Cedar Point they seem to favor Intamin and they obviously used to favor Arrow but have only 2 B&M's.
Another factor is what type of coaster a park wants. SFGAm wanted a flyer and basically we have only 3 options for that.Vekoma . B&M, and ZamperlaIt isnt hard to figure out why they chose B&M for the flyer. While I liked X-Flight at SFWoA, the reliability and the loading/unloading process is a nightmare for the Vekoma flyers. The Zamperla flyer is to carnival oriented and wouldnt make sense at a park the size of SFGAm.

I agree with the moderators. The Zamperla flyers dont look all that fun anyway. One of my friends went of the Flying Coaster at SFEG and said it was a pretty bad ride.
Yes, yes they do. Like most parks a B&M is just a good investment. They always are able to create a huge draw from the GP because of their innovative thrilling designs. They also are usually very high capcity rides. And last but not least they can operate in the rain unlike some rides cough*deja vu*cough. And of course B&M rides are just fun to look at with the 4 across train it's just awesome.
well ok if you think you are ready ASSUME THE POSITION!The flying position that isSuperman:Ultimate Flight
B&M and the General Manager of the park, JW, have always had a good repore with each other. Most parks would kill to have a relationship like that. Thats why we keep getting B&M's. And the first ones at that.Iron Wolf - First B&MBatman - First B&M InvertedRaging Bull - First Hyper-TwisterSuperman.......um........Well its got some neat technology anyways.Look for B&M stuff coming to the park for a long time.
SFGAm, in my opinion, would do excellent with a Giga coaster. I think it would take a bit away from RB, but it's such a good ride it wouldn't matter. Look at CP, they have MF and Maggie, and both are superior rides. They should build with Intamin... they just don't have any room.
I think the friendship between SF and B&M is a good thing. I think that B&M's are the most reliable and smoothest coasters. I am hoping B&M comes out with some new types soon. If Great America gets a floorless coaster in a few years, they will have all that B&M has to offer unless they come up with a new design...
If you have a floorless B&M, you basically have the standard sitdown looper as well. The floorless element is just a gimmick. The experience of the ride is essentially the same.

Yes I agree the only true floorless experience would in the front row. I have been on Kumba. And yes i went to sea world it was only because my cousin wanted to go there.
Chitown, that may be true with B&M's new sit down trains (like Wildfire's). However, old style trains like Kumba's are nothing like floorless trains. Of 3 sit down B&Ms I've been on, Kumba is the only one that felt really akward, and it was months later that I realized why. I could touch the floor. Of course, if we got a new B&M sit down, it would have a Wildfire type train, so it might has well be a floorless.
I dont think so, the floor drops out leaving another foot room between you and the track. Its kinda like Batman-my feet can touch the floor but when it leaves the station my feet have a 1 foot clearance.
You'd need freakishly longer legs than what you have I bet. Floorless trains seemed perched very high above the track, like 1 or 2 feet more than Bull's. Maybe even more. At times, it feels like 150 though, if you sit on an end seat. No track below you there, it feels like you're flying.
All this talk about floorless coasters makes me really anxious to get on one. I really want to go back to SFMM to ride Scream! and everything else I missed out on while I was there.
