At Last Blast, I had noticed that Deja Vu's paint looked like crap! In tons of patches the paint was dull and flat (not shiny and smooth like the rest of it)... Hopefully they were going to do something about it...
I love all coasters and Iron Wolf is definatly one of my favorites I love the ride and every thing about it. the 2002 season I really enjoyed this ride cause it never had more than a 15 min wait all season. The layout is so great. And its even better cause its the very first B+M ever. out of 10 i give it a 15. The staff on Iron Wolf was funnie last year they were great.
I didn't notice much about the staff of IW last year other than they were the slowest in the park, and they can't blame it on those seat belts, they take 2 seconds to check a whole row. I don't think they kept that ride from stacking once while I was there...
Iron Wolf is a very good coaster. It may not be as smooth as most of the other B&M coasters, but remember Iron Wolf was the very first B&M coaster in the world, and that was 13 years ago. As far as the colors go, I like it, however Shockwave was the most attractive coaster in the park. I'm going to miss good old Big Blue, but I digress. One of the days I went last year the line was very long for Iron Wolf, but that was attributed to Deja Vu and Shockwave being down.
I think grey would be a great color on the Wolf. When I worked there in the 90-91 season ( I operated the Tidal Wave ), shortly after the Iron Wolf was completed it was grey, and did it look sharp!!! Then came the maroon. Boo!! Hiss!!
I'd have to say Iron Wolf is my 2nd favorite stand-up under Riddler at MM. I don't like the turn after the corkscrew but other than that it is awesome.
Its my 11th favorite coaster at SFGAM. Only coaster that is worse is Spaceley's. I dont go on IW unless its a walk on and even then I might not go on it.
I love Iron Wolf, I think it is a work of art. Personally, I like it more than Mantis for the roughness of a stand-up should have, and I think Iron Wolf offers more G's than Mantis. Iron Wolf is just a great coaster that has a shorter line, which makes it even better,
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
The headbanging does hurt sometimes, but other than that, it is a great ride. Personally, I think the loop of IW is the third best in the park (1-Superman, 2-Demon). I also love the part where you switch from a left banked turn to a right banked turn (If anyone understands what I'm saying).

Batman was black (well not actually black, but an extremely dark blue) from it's opening in 1992 until 2004, when it was painted to it's current colors.
Demon has been with the park since 1976, except back then it was known as Turn of the Century. It didn't have the two loops until 1980, and that's when it was renamed Demon. In the Turn of the Century days, it WAS infact painted white.
So, next time get your facts straight before you try to prove someone wrong. It just makes you look like a moron.

I love it. The corkscrew is the only part that's a bit rough, but even that beats Demon's corkscrew by far. You are literally shot up into the OTSR on some of the drops. Good (and unique) airtime.
^ I agree with everything you said. It has some really good airtime on some of the drops, especially right before the corkscrew. I love the constant twists and turns, and I even like the roughness a little bit.
I like it! I would rather see a Sit down Ride go then this!!!(In the future, no rides are leaving for at least 5 years, Thats what I say, they all are differnt) Its the only stand up coaster compared to 5498468798 Sit downs we have! Its unique like Whizzer and Superman and Demon and ragin Cagin even Spacleys there all differnt there all work of Arts!
It was a cool ride back in 1990 when it came out. People thought that was the best ride ever untill later on when batman, raging bull and the other coasters after that.
But face it This ride is dead after 7pm. No lines just like shockwave before it was taken down.
Not really. Ever seen this ride on a weekend? Still using a switchback or two.
Iron Wolf, is a ride with a great layout, but some turns that are really rough on the head is what turns me away from this ride. The corkscrew isn't what's bad, its the turns after it that swing me poor skull from side to side. We've all learned to tolerate it. It's a good ride, just be prepared for some minor pain issuses afterwards.
to tell u the truth in my opinion it is too rough...im only 5'6 and my head gets a beatin....I hate the ride but realize they wont take it out bcuz it was the FIRST stadup...just my 2cents

It was not the first standup. However, it was B&M's first coaster ever. But the GP really doesn't care about that.
