This random guy just comes out of nowhere telling us we are getting a Dive Machine. I saw two racoons by Vu yesterday, does that mean we are getting an animal park?
Jeez, if it was offseason I could understand this. But this is middle of the season, and now the Dive Machine rumor comes up. I'm suprised he hasn't told us we are getting a 600ft launched 4d.
Though, I must say, there are plenty of coasters in this world they only have one of.
Dive machine, 4D, Floorless, Worlds first coaster without a track,
come on. We have no idea what is going to happen. Those of you
who start acting like you know what's going to happen, need to be
quiet, cause I doubt you really know what is going to go in.
Unless you're Sevart I'll believe you! But I guess you are Sevart, since
you know what is going to be put in huh?! If you actually know what is
going to happen, you need to shut up too. Whether we get a new Coaster
or not, it's not for us to know right now.
See what rumors do to people! See why I hate them? Because people
start to throw crap in our faces and hope that we believe them. I won't
believe a single thing, until it comes straight from Six Flags, that's it.

I guess I just don't get what the problem is. Sure, this guy is probably full of crap, but what is the harm in discussing the possiblity of these things happening? These boards are put out there so that people can discuss things related to the park. That's what's happening. If you don't like it, or don't want to hear about things like this, don't read or post in the topic. How hard is that?
I'm gonna twist ya, and I'm gonna flip ya. Every time you squeal, I'm just gonna go faster and harder.
I bet that it will not be a Dive Machine, I bet it will be something cooler, let's say a 4-D, do we have any takers on that one? That'd be cool, project Tumbleweed comes true, that'd be just simply awesome.

Maybe it is a dive machine, maybe its not. We don't know, and probably won't know until towards the end of the parks operating season if we are getting anything at all. If, and its a big IF, this guy knows something, and what he has said is the truth, it could be possible that two prototype B&M coasters are going in at Six Flags parks next year. There are markings at SFOG that indicate that they are getting a B&M something, and that coaster appears to be tunneling under some access road at some point. Whether or not that coaster, and the now "rumored" one at our beloved GA have anything in common is anybodies guess.
For the Last 15 or so posts, Everyone has implied we are getting somethign for 2006. A Dive Machine is unlikely, A Floorless would make sense but probably won't happen, S&S probably won't build a 4-d in North America very soon, and the tornado is not 100% but most likely coming.
While I believe in my opinion, SF will have a good spending year in '06 (maybe even like '99 and '01) that doesn't mean that SF is going to take the risk of a Dive Machine when SheiKra hasn't done that well as it is. I do believe we may get more than one coaster and possibly a large collection of flats to top it off, something for everyone with a new themed area for 2006. But let's not get ahead of ourselves here the question is why would they build a Dive Machine when a Floorless seems so right? Would they remove a timeless classic coaster that is one of a kind just to do something like this?

We are getting a new wooden coaster. It will be called Son of Eagle. It will feature a 200 ft drop, two vertical loops, a cobra roll and a zero g roll.

Don't know if you could count me as a taker, but I do hear your baying.
Tumbleweed was the rumored B&M 4D, correct?
That would be a B&M and still satisfy the hint from our mysterious new poster of being the 2nd of its kind in the US.
This also raises a few questions.
How did B&M get involved in designing a train for X, and were there any other modifications done to X by B&M?
Assuming Arrow patented the rail system that allows for the cars to pivot, is there any record of them transfering this patent or leasing the rights to it?
If not then B&M would have to invent an entirely new system to allow for that 4D motion. Has there ever been any kind of indication that this is a technology B&M is interested in?
How well can a source be trusted? Both the anonymous nature of the internet, and Screamscapes apparent willingness to post every juicy piece of gossip lead to easy pickings for someone who wants to create one heck of a hoax.
After all Screamscape is the only place I have ever seen project Tumbleweed mentioned before.
Mods / Admin - How easy would it be to create two separate usernames from the same IP address?
If I were to attempt a hoax, I would introduce it with one user name and create at least one other account to promote it.
That way it would appear that several people are hearing the same thing.
I'm not saying that I don't completely buy the idea. I am not accusing anyone of trying to use these kinds of tactics. I just thought it might be worthwhile to look a little closer at the rumor and foster some discussion form the position of devil's advocate.
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.
They still use that train, why wouldn't they? They made a train and won't use it cause it valleyed on its first cycle, they still use it, it would be stupid not to and a waste of money.

That is one of the stupidiest phrases that I've ever heard, from B&Msomething. That's why I believe it. He/she linked both rides together. Where did he/she say anything about the go-karts? SF just never stops with our park. Give SFStL a helping hand. I appreciate what they are doing for us, but there are other parks that aren't spectacular in any matter.
evreyone says They WOUDLNT put a dive machine because we dont even have a floorless yet, were in the books does it say that you have to have a floorless before a dive machine? theres always a first for everything

i saw a skunk waiting for Vu. I saw a bunny at Demon. We MUST be getting an animal park for sure!

w00dland, I remember hearing something like that a little while back.
Dive machines aren't the coasters you see built all over. Floorless's and rockets are. You don't see a new Dive Machine every year, and that was a five year gap between G5 and Sheikra. If you look at it, the whole Idea of being vertical has been long gone. We already have two coasters that we go vertical on in our park, (And hell, your BELOW the track!) and look at all the rockets that go vertical out there. The idea of a straight drop isn' that big of a deal anymore. I'm still suprised Busch Gardens bought a Dive Machine, over a rocket like Xcelerator. Having a 90 degree drop, isn't something you can really advertise with anymore, because about 50 other coasters have a straight 90 degree drop. All of our B&M's (except Suf) were the first of some sort, and a Dive Machine just wouldn't blend in with SFGAm.
