De Ja Vu

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I've been to Six Flags about once a year for the last three years and each time I get really excited to go on the big reversey ride, De Ja Vu.

Each time I'm met at the ticket booth by a big ol' sign saying, rides closed today, De Ja Vu and occasionally that train thing. I'm glad the Scooby Doo bus is always open, but it just doesn't satisify my hunger for riding a roller coaster backwards. I mean come on, we all go forwards, but backwards? Wow. What a novel and thrilling idea.

My question is this. Why is it never ever open? I mean I see empty cars go on it, and I think it's great they get to have fun, but what about the paying customers?

Thanks for answering my concerns. :D (Not  )

I mean roller coasters are cool, but they aren't my whole life.

ok, for starters welcome to SFGAmWorld, and secondly Deja Vu is open more often now than it was last year, heck I was surprised it was open on Memorial Day...remember Vu has had many problems within the past 2 years, the gam crew got it runnin' really good this year, and don't always believe those signs, it could be that the ride is closed for half the day, it could open later in the day.

hope this helps

Again, DejaVu has been open a lot more this season than ever before. Either SFGAm has fixed the staffing problem which is one of the reaons the big green and blue monster was never open, or it was fixed mechanically and has held together since then.

I came earlier this year with a Physics Group on one of the Physics Days and DejaVu (Is that the right spelling and spacing?, i dunno) along with all the water rides were shut down...whammy....

Thanks though! :P

Deja Vu has been running really good this year. It has been open or at least opened some time during the day for 24 out of my 25 visits. It is a great ride seeing that I have ridden it over 100 times already, but I hope you can ride it, lots of fun, much better than V2.
