It was where Daredevil Dive is now located. It was called Big Top and it was Blue and white, maybe red.

Those were the good old days of Big Top, when it was in all of it's hidden glory! I don't ever recall a line, and I never saw it run with people in every car. It's all about location, I've only ridden it once since it became Ricochet because, though fun, it's not worth waiting for (plus the view isn't as cool since you're not up high.)

Yeah, I used to always ride Big Top. I remember at the start of the 96 season you could see them making the finishing touches on Soutweest Territory, and I was on Eagle and to my amazment I saw Big Top sitting there in al its brown glory :P . I thought that they might've removed it  .

I used to have pictures of a artists rendition of SW Terr. as well as construction photos that I found on the website of the General Contractor for the project. I can't find either. But they are out there somewhere.

Im another person who used to ride Big Top all the time in its old location, I specifically remember a time when it was raining out and I was with my cousins and we rode Demon, Big Top and Haybayler all day in the rain while most the other stuff was closed due to rain. In its new location though, I don't ride it nearly as much as I used too. Perhaps its because theres more coasters now, or because theres more to do. But I never had the fun on Ricochet that I did I Big Top, even in the rain on Mothers Day...brrr COLD!!Also SfGaMownz good find on that photo of Big Top...brings back lots of memories.

Big Top was a great ride. I don't know how I did it, but I managed to scare my friends by making comments while the car was swinging in its 'up' position. I've been on Ricochet a few times, but it will never be the same ride as Big Top.

It's not how high or how fast you build the roller coaster it's how smooth you build it!

It was more fun back when it was Big Top because it was raised above the ground more than it is now as Ricochet in my opinion. That's probably why people don't ride is as much beacuse of the location.

I agree with you SFGA11. One of the reasons I liked Big Top because it was raised(where DareDevil Dive is now). At night, it was great getting on the ride.
