With the addition of HH are the lines for the rollercoasters alot shorter then in the past? I was just wondering this since everybody is always talking about walk-ons or 5 minute waits and i never remembered the lines being that short last year. So could someone please clear this up for me. Thanks
When I was there (June 21), the lines were very short throughout the daytime hours, while the waterpark was completely full. Then, when the waterpark closed at 7, I noticed that the park's lines all increased a little bit.
So to answer your question, yes, the lines have become shorter with the addition of the waterpark.

When I was in Texas last week, I went to Astroworld (in Houston) and all of the rides were generally walk-on (except for the water rides). They have a waterpark as well and that was full to its capacity. When the waterpark closed, the line wait increased. I think that this is the case for all theme parks that has a water park inside of it (with free admission of course).
yeah they are shorter, but after HH closes at 7:00pm the lines for the coasters get PACKED, especially Raging Bull, as everyone leaves HH for the park.

Umm, on Tuesday, lines were short most of the day. Bulls line got a little longer than it was in the afternoon.(At about 6 or 7) Nothing was ever packed. Most people went to the waterpark and maybe rode 1 ride after before they left. Lines are generally the same all day.(Minus SWT around 7, then it clears.)
On Tuesday, Deja Vu's line was around the sign towards the middle of the day. Later on, it was just a little less. They don't have the ques going though, but that doesn't mean you won't wait at least 30 minutes for it unless you go right when it opens.
How ironic? Another line topic by que22.
For IW, and Demon, they weren't long at all. Both were about 5 minutes. I forgot what time (maybe 6:30), but the SUF line was near that Lois Lane sign. That was probably a 15 minute line if someone hadn't lost an item. They shut the ride down, so people could look for something. However, SUF was a little before the stairs at about 9:10 while BTR was on about the third set of stairs before that; 9:00 (it broke down, so I couldn't ride it/didn't choose to wait).
Flats on weekends are usually not walk-on for me. You usually have to wait 1 or 2 cycles except for Whirlgig, Chubasco, STT, and Fiddler's Fling. Ricochet seems to always have a line (a 1 cycle wait at least). Triple Play gets nuts at night because of the parade. All the kids want to ride it. I'm not saying it's more than a two cycle wait, but I wouldn't expect a flat to be packed at 9:30 at night!!! If I wanted to go on it again on Tuesday night, I was afraid that I would have to wait again (not get on the next cycle).
During the day time Tuesday, I looked at Roaring Rapids and I think it was up to the entrance with no other queues going except for the "main" one. I went on it later, and it was very close to the station because it was late.
Wednesday The lines AFTER 7pm were EXTREMELY
SHORT. as for the WHOLE DAY. the lines are Noticablly Shorter forsome rides but for others there is little or no change
I haven't been there this year for one of the days when they're open until 10, but I'll be there 2-3 times next week from open to close so this will be good.

oh, well on Monday RBs queue was at the stairs for most of the day, and once HH closed it was using switchbacks in the first queue house. I guess it fluctuates.

On Wendesday the lines in SWT got maybe 5 minutes longer at most, everything else just got shorter as the day went on.
Think of it this way: Your parents and you and your kids have been in HH all day. The sun is really starting to get to you and the park is closing. Instead of taking all the time of changing back into street clothes and putting your stuff in the car and coming back into the park, why not just leave.
