I think where HH screwed up is with the Atomic Bowls. The line for the regular slides is on the same platform as the Atomic Bowls and everyone waits for those and not the regular slides. They need some type of different stairs or a line down the middle of the current stairs so people can enjoy the regular slides. I will not wait in that long line for the regular ones .
Waiting to fill this space with something stupid to say!
There are seperate STAIRS but only when you get half way up does it split. which doesnt help. ALSO. i found out some information abouit why the Wahoo Racers are closed but i CANNOT CONFIRM the truth
My friends CUZN was at the park last week. and she said a man was going down one of the OUTER SLIDES (which have been TORN out of Wahoo Racers) and the turn was so tight and fast he slipped off the mat and cut his head open. This is what she WITNESSED!!!! but i dont know forsure if it was true. but if ANYONE Finds out the REASON other then what i said....feel free to LET ME KNOW
Ya i do also, but that EXPLAINS why they took down the whole 2 MIDDLE SLIDES and today, i saw them working INSIDE each of the Slide Tunnels, it looked like they were fixing CRACKS or maybe bumps in the course making it more SMOOTH, it could have been that 2 peices of TUBING were not connected right, but you wouldnt know since your on the mat
^Whats up with the random capitilization of words?
Anyway I saw one machanic working on the supports of Wahoo Racers today from Raging Bull's lift. Also noticed that Hurricane Mountain was also closed today. Could be because Wahoo Racers might be a hardhat area again but it really hurts the capacity of the park. Giving just about everything else (including the lazy river) about a 20+ wait.

On Tuesday, Hurricane Mountain didn't open with the waterpark due to Wahoo Racer construction. When work stopped, Hurricane Mountain opened.(From what I saw.)
So yeah, construction on Wahoo seems to hinder Hurricane Mountain from also being open.
On Wednesday, Hurricane Mountain was closed all day because one of the cranes for Wahoo was in the path to Hurricane Mountain. Hopefully, whatever they're doing to Wahoo can be finished quickly, because with the weather we've been having recently lots of people are going to want to go to the water park.
i was at SFGA on the 29th and the wave pool was closed bc a man had suffered a heart attack and died in the water...
hurricane harbor was very crowded and i think that this is not going to be the last time somebody dies unless they put some limits on the amount of people in there...
I was so excited to finally get on Deja Vu, my 4th time there and my first time being able to get on it (broken down all other 3)
deja vu had broken down and everyone left the line so me and my cousin saw they had reopened it and we waited for less than 10 minutes

WOW!!! Where do I begin my rant?
First of all, There is a capacity for the water park. Only 7,100 people can be in Hurricane Harbor at a time.
Second of all, the person in question died of a HEART ATTACK. If he died of drowning, then maybe your point would not be entirely wrong. But he didn't. Heart attacks are NOT caused having too many people in the Wave Pool. They can be caused be other heart conditions, blocked arteries, heat. The fact that the water park was crowded in NO way played any part in this man's unfortunate death.
The fact that you use someone else's death to get up on your soap-box and spew off mis-information and opinions that have no relevance to this fatality is absolutely dispicable. You're no better than Ed Markey.
^ I second that rant. Might I add nice use of the analogy to Ed Markey.
I don't see what is the big problem with Hurricane Harbor. Many planners engineers and crowd control types carefully planned this thing out. After they determined the adequate number of persons that the park, they turned it over to the lawyers / insurance types. Given that lawyers / insurance types hate lawsuits with a passion and want every bit of evidence to favor them in such actions, I'm willing to bet the park is pretty damn safe with the 7100 capacity number.
So what if you have a 20minute or longer wait for a waterslide. Its summertime in the midwest and ( insert sarcastic shock) a water park is crowded.
While your wasting your time there, I'll have a 20min wait or less for most of the rollercoasters.
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.
How can 7,100 people be safe. and if they REFUSE to reduce that number, then they need to GATE OFF Hurricane Bay and put a capacity on that. how can 7,100 people in a water park with ONLY 8 tube slides, 2 body slides and 4 WAHOO RACERS be a COMFORTABLE Carribean Experience. 7,100 People with probably 1,000 of them in the wave pool is asking for UNNOTICED DEATH!!!!
PLEASE!!! give me a break. i would rather fly to the Cancun that go to Hurricane Harbor Again...although i must admit after the Accident yesterday EVERYONE LEFT because of the Permanent Shut down of the wave pool for the day. and the park was nice.
O and for further reference when park hits CAPACITY its more like 45 - 1 hour minute WAIT for a waterslide, honestly. I waited once. and i wont EVER again wait for a 5 second DROP
I think some people are missing the point here. Everyone needs to understand that the largest waterpark in the area has JUST opened for business in the 3rd most populated area of the country. Not to mention that the temperatures have been in the 90's for the past few weeks.
Why are people shocked that the waterpark is crowded? Six Flags has been advertising their a$$e$ off, on every TV station and every radio station in the Chicagoland, Milwaukee and Indiana area.
NEWS FLASH: This ISN'T your park district pool! We've all been to the park when it's croweded beyond belief, why is the waterpark any different? Let me know . . .
If you can't handle the crowds take yourself and have a wonderful time 3 hours away at Magic Waters. Simple as that!
If this came across as harsh, oh well... some kiddies need a reality check.
