de ja vu

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby sfgam_guy14 on June 22nd, 2005, 10:59 am
This is only my opinion but i think de ja vu should be taken out of the park. Now i know this ride is some peoples favorites but dont you think it should be taken out to fit a different rollercoaster in there. The ride is barely ever open. I think this ride should be taken out for a newer better ride that would be open 7 days a week.

Uh...You don't go to the park much do you?

Vu's been running great this year (BTW: It's Deja, not De Ja) It's only been closed a couple of times, and Hasn't had nearly as many breakdowns either.

By the way: This Definitely deserved to have an entire topic devoted to it.

Deja vu is the best ride I have been to the park this year a lot of times and all the times it was open. It is my favorite ride and they shouldn't take it down.

I was at the park yesterday and I did not see it down once. They have it running great this year, and there's a 100% chance it's going nowhere.

I've been to the park 6 or 7 times this year. The latest it's opened was 4PM. Never closed the whole day.

I was once on the bandwagon to remove DejaVu, but now I believe it'd be stupid to let it go. It's operating extremely well this year, almost as good as Superman and RB. Also, not many things besides say, a flat ride will fit in Vu's spot. Even though I probably will never even attempt to ride it, I don't think it should be taken down. What's the point? People Like it.

Actually Superman's been running kind of crappy this year.

Of your 5 posts, 3 have been about you thinking that rides should be taken out, Whizzer, Deja Vu, and American Eagle are all good/popular rides that arent going anywhere.

There isn't much else that could fit there in terms of a coaster. I'm sure that sfgam_guy14 would be extatic if they replaced Vu with a kiddie coaster
Finally Coaster Season!!

Deja Vu has some probloms yes, but there have got to be ways they can ALTER THE RIDE to make it work? Obvoiusly the CABLE SYSTEM isnt working....here are my reasons.....

I personally think the MAIN reason the ride breaks is because the cable lift system A: cant support the wait of the train and B: on the second tower, there is to much stress to grab the car and pull it farther up

Or they need to upgrade the whole Cable system into something that will WORK

P.S. SUPERMAN was running Excelent Speed today

The had all the trains READY to leave the station (harness's locked and checked) before the other train was even back in the brakes waiting to enter the station....the line ran very fast

PROPS to superman........

For the one hundredth time, Deja Vu is running great this year, and there (for now) is no longer anything wrong with it.

Also, I don't know if anybody else feels this way, but it is almost like we got a waterpark AND a new roller coaster for 2005 with the way it has been running. It's finally starting to be a good choice for the Six Flags Corp.

I'm sure maintenance knows more than you about why the ride goes into downtimes. You can't really form your own personal opinion about it.

Opinions are okay, aren't they? D Vu' is not exactly the miracle worker everyone claims it to be. It still breaks down, but not as often as it used to. Try this year, sfgam_guy14 on a 10-10 day because the mechanics have more time to fix it if it is broken.

Of course they are. I'm just saying that when you form an opinion, there is no "right" or "wrong" answer. However, in terms of DJV, the reason the rides breaks could have nothing to do with the cable system.

To CLEAR THINGS UP: i didnt know PERSONAL OPINIONS were Illegal, A personal OPINION is my version of what i think is wrong, im not saying its the ACTUAL reason, or that i KNOW MORE THEN TECHINCIANS. i think i have the RIGHT as a US Citizen to form Personal Opinions. thats what they are there for. I Also never said i knew MORE THEN THE TECHS. I just said, THIS IS WHAT I THINK IS WRONG

i never said i was right

I was just saying that everytime ive WITNESSED it break it was either, the cable pulling the car up the tower and then STOPPING and getting stuck or the backtower CATCHING THE CAR and then just holding it without pulling it up....sounds like cable system probloms to me ****BUT THATS JUST MY OPINION<<<<<<<<<<*****

Now, we should all try to alter DEjaVU on no limits and see if we can find other ways to make the ride more exciting? maybe lengthin the track before you hit the corbaroll and make it a launch ride? or something. i think that would work
