American Eagle backwards for 03?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby CoasterDude04 on January 3rd, 2003, 2:29 pm
Does anyone know if the Eagle will remain backwards for the 03 season? I think they should leave it how it is, it was a really good idea, and it attracted more riders to the ride.

Yea I agree, they also ran both red and blue tracks and it was cool racing the other train.

I hope they keep it running backwards for 2003. It attracted more people to the ride. I thought it was very intense, especially going down the first drop.

I think that it would be a stupid move to not run one of the trains backwards in 2003. It was a really good thing for the ride because it got people that were tired of the ride re-interested. They just need to make sure that it races more.

They definately need to keep blue running backwards... It definately added a lot of excitement to the ride. It needs all the publicity it can get.

Last year they said it was for one year only and there were many people who doubted it would stay backwards the whole year. We will have to wait and find out, I doubt it will run backwards again but I hope it does.

Yeah, they said it was only for one year... and I was worried also that it wouldn't run backwards the whole year. If they don't have it backwards this year I'll still ride AE of course... I don't like forwards as much but hey its still awesome.

I think it will be backwards for 2003 because SFGAm said it was going to be backwards until the middle of summer, but it was backwards all year. It also attracted MANY MANY people to it. One day while I was there, it had a 1 hour line which is uncommon on the Eagle. I think there is a high chance that SFGAm will keep it backwards next year.

I think it should definitely always have one train running backwards, preferably blue because it worked and everyone seemed to like it. Anyone not like the move of changing the train?

when i was in line to go on backwords people left the line because they didnt want to ride backwords. also they should fix the part where it say take a left to go on red, and take a right to go on blue. they should just make that at the very beging that way people will see what sides are open.

Actually right at the beggining of the line, there is a sign that tells which trains are running. It clearly says forward red and backward blue are running or just backward blue. People just don't pay attention to the signs in the lines.

How could they not know its closed, they had the sign up where Red and Blue split saying the red side was closed. You would have to jump over or move the chain with the sign to get to the red sides line.
