Any suggestions on how to overcome my fear of raging bull?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby sfgam05 on June 11th, 2005, 7:26 pm
I've been scared of riding the raging bull for years now. I've been able to go on viper, american eagle, batman, demon, and the whizzer(I plan to go on superman and iron wolf) but the raging bull scares the cr$p out of me. I cant imagine myself going on that monster. I would really appreciate it if someone can give me some suggestions on how to over come my fear. Thanks.
I'm running to Bull on opening day, anyone gets in my way and they'll get trampled.

Stop being a girl.......

lol, Just kidding with you.

Seriously though..... just picture it as any other ride, when you think about it, its probably the safest out of all the coasters you've ever ridden.

Wrong topic, and it's not that scary of a ride unless your lapbar pops up at the top of the lift. :P

Hey don't be mean...

I used to be scared of it too. I guess the best advice I can give you is to get a fastlane, don't wait in line thinking about it, and just do it. After the first ride you will love it.

What is it about the ride that scares you? Hard to make suggestions if we don't know what it is that scares you.

Ah...this topic brings back memories.

Here is my suggustion. Go up to the entrance and basicly force yourself in. Now in line, as Tim said, think about somthing else. Think about what you will do that night or whatever. Before you know it you will be next in line to ride. Once you reach that point just say to yourself "Everything will be alright.", assure yourself that you will be safe, just get on the train, get ready to go, and just go. Once you get done with the ride, you want to go again and again.
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/

Wrong forum...

But, really: I used to be scared of this ride too. One day I went with my friend and he got me on and it's fine. I always get that moment where Time freezes at the top of the life though. It's scary but just tell yourself you know it's safe.

all you hafta do is just sit down in the seat. preferabbly in the middle cars for first time riders. just pull that lapbar down as far as you possibly can and just go. i was so scared the first time i went on it but now it is my fav ride. just go on it trust me it will be your fav. and if it scares you hen you dont ever hafta ride it again.

If you are afraid of the first drop, it doesn't take more than 5 seconds. I know it may be scary, but once you ride it, you'll love it.

Moved to Great America Forum.

As was stated above, just get on latch yourself down and then there isn't anything you can do but ride it.

Well, you could have an op unlock your row if you chicken out last minute, but that's beyond the point.

I use to be terafied until I went on it. After the firts ride I loved it and I wanted to go on it over and over again. It is an awsome ride. Especialy the first drop. It freaked me out! But it was the best, so dont worry and go on it. If you havent gone on giant drop then go on that first and then you wont be scared at all about raging bull. Its a great ride!!!!!!!!!!! :D
