Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor June 8 and 9th

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby sxflgshh14 on June 10th, 2005, 2:31 pm
Ok, the first thing i have to say is that I didnt like the attendance amount at hurricane harbor at all, i dont think i will go there again, i prefer the theme park. The wait for water slides were stupid. I wouldnt wait 1 hr and a half for a 20 second ride EVER. But if you have patience, go ahead!

June 8th

We got to the park about 9:30, we had already bought our tickets so we didnt have to wait to buy them. There was already a line forming out side of superman so me, jeffery, and kyle headed striaght for it. At 10, they opened the ride. We were on the 7th ride. It was really fun.

Then after that, we waited about 5 minutes to get on V2 which seemed different. You only get to go 2wice instead of 3 times.

After that, we headed for Deja Vu, WHICH WAS CLOSED.

So then we ran over to Iron Wolf which had a 5 minute line.

After Iron Wolf, we headed to Raging Bull which had a 20 minute line which is waitable for me. We got on the 3rd train because it had the shortest line.

We headed for the car for lunch but we didnt eat anything, we just got changed into out suits and headed for Hurricane Harbor.

We got in and our jaws droped. People everywhere. Im guessing there were about 5 thousand people there. We went to rent a tube which is 7 for a single and 10 for a double. Then we headed for the wave pool which allowed us to have tubes in?(the rest later). The wave pools maximum depth is 6 feet. 5 where people are allowed. The waves are pretty good. Then we got into the bubba tubba line which was full and was a 45 minute wait. After tht we werent impressed and we left. And when we left, we were missing some thing, actually someONE. It was my moms friends 12 yr old son. We looked for 2 hours. So we went on a couple rides and went to the car and after at the car for 10 min, here comes my mom and my moms friend with jeffery the 12 yr old kid. Holy SHI* were we yelled at. I just ignored it all and me and kyle went back in the park. We walked and walk and we noticed a line on the out side of DEJA VU! We jumped in the line and finnally they let people in. Two cycles went and it broke down again. But, after 10 minutes it was back up. We were on the 2nd ride. It was insane , i love that ride. After that we went to American Eagle and the i forgot the rest of that day....

June 9th

As yesterday, we got there at 930 and waited in the line for superman. they let people in early today which was good. We were on the 5th row which was awsome.

After that we went to king chaos. Who ever is a guy, dont go on it. For the people who have been on it, you know what i mean.

After that, we went to Revolution, it was fun.

Then we went to Front seat Raging Bull. AWSOME! It was only a 30 minute wait.

Then after that, we went to viper. While we were on viper, we were on the phone with the hottest girl on earth who couldnt go. I almost doped my phone on the first drop. :-D

After that we decided to go to hurricane harbor again which was more packed then yesterday. It was horrible. We got two tubes and headed for the lazy river. We went two times around. Just so you know getting a tube is worth the money. If you dont get one, you will have to wait about 30 minutes to get a tube for the lazy river. also, you will have to wait longer for rides.

Then we headed for the wave pool which DIDNT ALLOW TUBES. I was confused beczuse the day before it was allowed. So we put our tudes bac and headed for the wave pool. When we went back to where our stuff was, my tube was gone. I was pissed. So i went to the tube rental place and asked for another one and they said they werent resposible, so we left with smoke coming out of our ears.

Went to lunch then went to Demon which had no line again. We went on it over and over agin about 7 times. We asked the time and it was 7 PM, we were supposed to go back the the car. We didnt, we kept running into stuff we wanted to do. They were...

Batman, Iron Wolf, Revolution(2), and King Chaos(3). They all had short lines.

When we left the park, we were bit*hed at like crazy, but what ever.

So you "HATE" Hurricane Harbor because:

1.You didn't like waiting in line.
2.Something of yours was stolen, after you left it unattended.
3.A park policy changed, because of the amount of people in the wave pool.
4.Park food was expensive.
5.The security guards enforced a park policy about no food entering the park.

OK. First of all it's a theme park. There are rides, and there are upwards of 15,000 people in the park on a good day. There are lines for everything. What did you expect? A walk on?

Your fault for leaving your tube unattended. I would have taken it  And you lost "Jeffery" Smooth move Ex-Lax.

Capacity of the wave pool was higher, meaning there is less room for a tube.

Your park food was expensive because EVERYTHING in the park is expensive.

If they didn't let you bring your food in, the security guards were doing their job. Good for them.

Those are some weak reasons.

I understand the wave pool problem, but its merely SF's fault in the beginning. How many waterparks does SF have before they made this one? Seriously, why didn't they make two, or make that one bigger. I understand what SF is doing (with the present situation considering the wave pool), but it begs the question why have a WAVE pool if you can't bring tubes in there????

You said "hate" and you also said "Hurricane Harbor Sucks" in your signature.

Don't try to dance around it.

That is a weird suggestiion. I spent a whole 10 bucks at the park yesterday!

Does that include admission and parking in your case?

"bring $100 for yourself"

what do you do, play games all day or something? There is no way anyone whould ever need to bring $100 to Great America. I personally spend $0 when I go and I eat at Wendy's outside of the park when I want to eat. Makes for a cheap and very fun day.

And your sig says next visit sometime in July...expect HH, as well as the Park, to be much busier than Thursday and Friday,

I think I speak for a large majority of people in saying " I have no respect for you" Not because you didnt like Hurricane Harbor, but because of the weak reasoning and childish attitude.

No, it just broke down a lot (probably less than 10 times). I don't get why everyone tries to make Dejavu look like a crappy ride. It's a great ride and it breaks down about the same or less sometimes as other rides. In your TR you try to make SUF look like a great ride, and in my opinion it is a peice of crap that murdered shockwave. SUF has broken down two times in a row with only one train going out inbetween before, and it wasn't a riders fault.

"Bring 100$ for yourself"

Why? Whenever I go to SFGAm I only bring 10 bucks. You must be playing a lot of games, I don't think I could spend 100 bucks at Great America in a day if I tried....

To Raging Bull...

I know, but i eat in the park. When we go to the car i barely eat any thing. I just have a meal in the park, which is 10 bucks a meal. I played one game, and i bought a pen for my little cousin causee she wanted one. Plus, its for two days.

Okay well if it's for two days that makes it a little more understandable. But I personally still don't think I would spend $50 in a day, but I guess that's because I go there often. I dunno.

I can survive off of 15 for inside the park for a whole day. And 10 for eating outside of the park for one full day.
