How busy has HH been??

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Bob O on June 8th, 2005, 9:21 pm
For those who have been to the water park in the past several days with the warm weather, how busy has it been??
Did you have to wait to get in, and if so what time did HH reach capacity and how long was the wait??
Thnaks for any info, trying to develop some type of strategy to hit some rides before the wait gets too long to meet up with my kids who will go in HH as soon as they can.

I haven't been there, but from what I have heard, it has reached maximum capacity for the last few days.

Today it was packed. I was there from 11 to 2. When I was leaving people where still pouring in. I am sure it hit capacity today.

Sunday it was packed and the rest of the park was nearly empty. You could walk on nearly every ride besides Deja Vu and Ice Mountain Splash from what I saw.

Today it was packed. I was there from 3-7 and it was really crowded. You had to wait in line to get a tube before you went on anything.

Skull Island is fun. I went down the orange slide. I love how they have stuff to spray people waiting in line. I also enjoyed the Skull water bucket dump. I can't believe how much water that gets dumped on you.

I wouldn't be surprised if HH did reach capacity yesterday, either. The only rides closed all day yesterday were IMS and Stargate. I didn't notice anything happening with Condor.

When I checked on the line to get into HH at opening (6/8/05), it was near Trailblazer before 11 am.

HH was totally full yesterday, but I still had a great time. I waited about 20 minutes to get on a toilet bowl slide but I actually think it was worth it. The wave pool was smaller than I expected it to be. Skull Island was a great time and I liked the little tanning area where they just had sand and beach chairs. When I was in HH harbor yesterday I really thought I was just at a waterpark and not Six Flags too, I could barely hear the chain lifts. Go Bob Marley!

I went on Tuesday and arrived at about 11:30, no line to get in. After a while it got to capacity and they had to stop let people from coming in. I left around 4:00 and the line was where to the sign says "Six Flags Hurricane Harobr 150 feet ahead". Sevart was I believe watching the turnstiles to see when it reached capacity. At 2:00 The announcement at Hurricane Bay was telling people to not bring innertubes into the water due to being near capacity.

I was there yesterday and I didn't notice anything being done on condor. It looks like it's just been sitting there for days from a guest perspective.

As far as I am concerned, those tubes shouldn't be allowed in the wavepool at all. Even when I was there last Saturday, with the pool being moderately crowded, I kept getting bumped in the head with a tube.

Save the tubes for the slides and the lazy river.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Agreed Scott, At some water parks they don't allow tubes into the wave pools because there get to be too many and people can easily get trapped beneath them.

I was there yesterday for my first time, and it seemed to get a lot less crowded around 5:00. When we got in there at about 2:00, we headed straight to Wahoo Racers and waited for about 45 minutes. I'd say that it wasnt worth the wait. Later, everything was closed for a T-storm watch and a lot of people left then. When the slides opened, I got near the front of the line for the tornado slides and those were sweet.

I think he means the bowl slides. They can be easily confused as tornado slides beacuse they do spin you around in a funnel.

Yeah it has been pretty busy. Today it was really crowded, but the lines weren't really as bad as I expected. I don't think I ever waited more than 20 minutes for any of the slides. It was still pretty crowded though.
