Something no one expected???

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Something tells me you are all getting paranoid. Six Flags has yet to make any of their free waterparks not be free anymore, so what makes you think it would be any different with ours.

If they did decide to make that change, it would make all the new infrastructure go to waste. All those new games in Hometown Square and Southwest Territory were placed there to get money out of people on their way to Hurricane Harbor. If it became a seperate gate, that would no longer be the main entrance.

The games would loose money, as well as other in park spending. People would be less likely to go to into Great America after Hurricane Harbor closes and just come back the next day. If they were able to go freely between the parks, they could go to GAm after HH closes and come back the next day. There is no reason why they would have set stuff up like this if it wasn't going to stay free.

Think how much debt SF is in. They might have to charge for HH.

Six Flags knows how much debt they are in and they knew that when they made the decision in the first place.

I heard the commercial in QUESTION last night, they say you get hurricane Harbor free ALL Year, they dont say THIS YEAR they say all year, meaning when you buy a season pass you get unlimited visits to hurricane harbor all year.

I don't like Stingray, and Point of No Return. Noah's (Un) Incredible Adventure is an awful and boring ride. The rest of the rides are really good even though I'm quite upset that they have taken out thost slides where the new watercoaster is going. Black Lightning (middle tubes tilted straight down) are amazing!!!! Those two are the best slides I've been on so far.

OK CHANGING EVERYTHING

JUST NOW i saw a commercial for hurricane harbor and they menchin the lines "This is the last year to get hurricane harbor free with a season pass" and "Hurry Now and get 1 free year of hurricane harbor with your season pass, now extended to june 12"

Are they saying Last year to get it free? just to get people to buy season passes?

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

Kowabunga wasn't as good as I remembered it to be the last time I went. Stingray is stupid and so is point of no return. Dark Voyage was just a dark slide, and their other family slide was pretty good. Thunder Racers (I think that's what it's called) was really good, but were pretty short. The bermuda triangle slides were boring, and the mat slides I haven't been on.

If they start charging seperate admission then they would definitly have to make a seperate entrance.
And then there would probably be tickets for the park, water park, and then combo. Oooo.

I know by saying this I may just sound like a fanboy, but in the case of waterpark/amusement parks, Cedar Point definitely has it right. They have waterpark only tickets, amusement park only tickets, and then the Ride n' Slide (TM) Tickets as well. Also, they have an entrance from the parking lot (which is actually a separate parking lot meant just for the waterpark) and an entrance from the park. I think the way they run their admissions is top-notch.

Oh, and by the way, I agree with Timmy.
