Deja Vu

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby DejaVu The Ride on May 30th, 2005, 2:45 pm
Well, sometimes it holds and sometimes it doesn't. Towards the end of last season it was pausing for a second and then the first few weeks of this season, it was dropping right away. Last Wednesday it was holding for a second and Saturday, it was dropping right away.

I like it much better without the pause.

I don't think it was working right the last time I was at the park either, and that was like 2 years ago...sounds like they've been having trouble with it all along.

It seems to me they have finally worked out all the kinks in it. It has been open every time I have been there so far this season. It seems to be working just fine this season. I still would recommend you ride this ride. The rush is fantastic.

I plan on it next time I get out to the park! I haven't been on any of the new rides yet: Deja Vu, V2, S:UF or anything in the Mardi Gras...King Chaos, etc...

Why do you guys keep on calling the ride Jeza??? Can you please explain? Even if its stupid, I still would like to here it.

I love Vu. The only thing I hate is that it breaks down constantly! Last year at fright fest, I was in line for 3 hours and during that time which should have only been a 45 min wait, Dejavu broke down 3 times!

It doesn't break down constantly anymore. I, along with some other enthusiasts, have not seen it break down once this year. I've ridden it 15 times so far.

To me, it's a very boring coaster. Shuttles don't do it for me!

I've actually yawned on DJV cause I was so bored on it! But that's
my opinion and I'm sticking to it!

Finally! It's nice to find out there is one other person out there who doesn't think Deja Vu is incredible. While I don't think it's boring, I do not think it was anything to rave about.

Mr. SFGAm-- Who seriously enjoys Ragin' Cajun more than Vu :P
Finally Coaster Season!!

I think you should go on it. I think it will be really fun and alittle scary at the same time.

So from what I've seen on other boards and all, this ride seems to be closed a lot. Is it closed more often than it's open? I'm planning to go on June 28th which is a tuesday. What are my odds that it will be open or not. I'm gonna be kinda sad if anything is closed that day since it will be my only trip this year.

There is a VERY good chance that DejaVu will be open. The ride has not gone down due to breakdowns much at all this season and probably the only reason the ride has been down this year is due to staffing.

DejaVu has made a huge turn around so I wouldn't worry about it being closed. :D

I sure hope you are right, cause I'm looking most forward to getting on that and the Bull. I haven't been to Great America in like 10 years.

Vu has been running very well this year. As far as I know, it's only broken down twice (whereas RB has been stuck 4 times). The thing keeping Vu closed this year is staffing issues. Hopefully with school ending and summer begenning, Vu will keep up its good running.

Why is it always Deja Vu that is closed when it is understaffed? Why don't they close a different coaster instead?

That doesn't mean anything, all rides go through that. It's normal. So far this year, Deja Vu has been running just as well as every other coaster in the park.
