Upgrading "Bring a Friend For Free" Tickets

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

okay, so if I go to the park and pay $30 to get in (with my $15 coupon), I can still upgrade to a season pass for $50 more and I won't be given any trouble? In this case I can pay a total of $80 and save $10 off the $90 pass I was going to buy from Jewel. I'm pretty sure that this is what everyone is saying but I just want to make sure I can do this before I go tomorrow. Thanks.

Yes, you can do that. What this thread was referring to was when a season pass holder uses the "Bring a Friend For Free" coupons that are only good on specific days. Then, the person that got the free ticket upgrades to a season pass for $50.

My point exactly.

With that logic, there would be no reason you couldn't bargain with the people at the ticket booths outside the gates. Wouldn't they too rather sell you the pass for $50 then not make the sale at all knowing you will return and hopefully do some in-park spending?

The reason they only do the upgrade at the Pass Processing Center is because it's "inside" the park. You are already in, seen the waterpark, all the other attractions the park has to offer. It just works better that way, because you can do all of your upgrading and processing at the same place. It's more convienient.

I'm not sure if there was a topic about the Coke can deal, but at Wendy's the cups are red and feature Mr. Six and the Six Flags bus, along with a $10.00 of admission coupon.
