Concerts At Great America

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby LC3 on May 28th, 2005, 6:28 pm
If Great America decided to have weekly concerts, who would you want to come? Me personally, I would like to see Alicia Keys or John Legend. What about the rest of you?

it really depends on which bands were playing and if it was an extra charge to get in.

If they were bands I REALLY liked (Ex Chili Peppers, Papa Roach, etc) then I would go in a heartbeat. But for generic local bands, no.

I may be the only one on this forum who would actually want to see them, but I would actually like to see the American Idol Superstars perform at the park.

That would be awesome. I would definately try to go. I would rather see Green Day or Weezer there (even though I can see Weezer at summerfest.....)

If it was up to me, I'd have Rammstein come back....

For a local band, I don't think any of you have heard of them, but De Trioumphe; I'd love to see them get a big break at SFGAm.

I probably won't see any shows or concerts at SFGAM unless I'm sick or if I think it'll be worth it if the lines for coasters are too long.

local bands? I would suggest Rise Against, but I don't think their music is good for the atmosphere Great America likes to create. I guess I'd have to go with Kill Hannah.

No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.

Im pretty sure their not gonna have big bands playing on a 10x20 stage which isnt even large enough to fit their equipment. Great America just tries to provide addiontal entertainment, most of they bands that play their arent of the higest quality, but its entertainment.

How about Godspeed You Black Emperor! or Mogwai...oh yeah no one knows who they are. But seriously they should get Wilco or Tortoise to play there because they are from Chicago.

Green Day sucks!!! A good concert would be Metallica. AC/DC. etc.
It's green. It's blue. It's all over you! Enjoy your ride on Déjà Vu

Metallica or AC/DC aren't any better than Green Day. Either way they are still both Mainstream.

I never liked AC/DC. old Metallica would be cool as would both old and new Green Day, though each for different reasons.

i'd just like to see anyone there. We'll never get a rock band there probably remember family park idea, so i'm sure the park is going to stick to quirky teen pop acts, aka aaron carter and christy carlson ramano, this year's artists.
