I can't wait to actually see the park in person from the inside and not just through the gates. I will be at both parks today I am wearing a greenish beige jacket...a white Orange County Choppers Shirt...Blue Jeans...A Black Backwards Metallica hat...and Sunglasses. Anyone feel free to say hi. I am a really nice person. LOL....Have fun at HURRICANE HARBOR everyone!

Not exactly an ideal forecast for opening weekend. I'm sure a lot of folks will be checking out HH. Just not sure how many will actually get in the water given the chilly temps and the fact that the water hasn't had a chance to warm up yet.

Didn't a GA spokesperson say the water should be heated to around 75 degrees by openeing day? I am going today, and we will probably walk through HH just to check it out. Who knows, bring the suits, and if it warms up enough, let the kids play around Skull island.

I was there. I just walked around because it was raining. Lockers cost $8. There are tube rentals for $7 or $9 for a two-person tube; however, you don't need them. They just work as a fastlane pass for the slides. Skull Island and the entire part of the water park beyond that towards American Eagle was closed. What was open looked very nice. I can't wait for a warm, sunny day so that I can go in the water.

Some of the waterpark attractions do require a tube such as Castaway Creek, Hurricane Mountain, Big Surf, and Bubba Tubba.

But for all slides they have free tubes available. The rentals are only for the wave pool I belive.

Lockers are $10 to rent at HH. You can go in and out of them all day. Also with the tube rentals you get a buck back when you return them.

Just so you know they do not rent towls. I kept hearing people ask where you go to rent towls.

Why would they want to rent a towel anyway? I mean I know they wash them but still, other people have used them and you dont know when that person showered last! Sorry if I'm groosing you guys out but its true!

Your wrong about one thing. I rode the racers twice today, and hurricane mountain was open, but nobody walked back there since skull island was still not open.

I would say more people were in the Theme Park. I was surprised to see as many people going in the water as there were. But the weather would get really warm for short periods of time.

They are towels for the beach, not the shower.

There were lifeguards blocking the pathway back there. They may have opened it later on in the day.

I was wondering about that. The regular park's capacity is a lot more. Would you know that capacity? I'm curious.

Bubba Tubba and Bahamma Mama were closes all day but there was always water running and seemed to be many people around it so I imagine it will be open soon. And the whole Skull Island Area (including HM and WR) was closed off in the morning, but they opened the Back (HM & WR) later in the Afternoon.

I spent a couple of hours walking around and taking pics the place looks really nice, I can't wait to try it out!

Around 42,000, I think. They usually start turning people at around 40,000. Although I'm not really sure, since I've never been to a day that crowded.

I dont even think I have ever been to that park when there was 40,000 people there.

On any given day how many people would you estimate are in the theme park?
