You have to rent tubes for the slides! That will just be stupid.

Also: You can see the Bahama Mama and Bubba tubba are going up! I can't wait for april 30th.
I know it says something about renting tubes for a fee, but I don't think it mentioned for the slides. I think they were just reading too much into it, but I want confirmation.

Don't believe everything you read on the internet. The tubes from the tube slides most likely will not have to be rented.

The Tube rentals at almost all waterparks is for the wave pool and sometimes the Lazy River. I have never seen a waterpark have you rent tubes for the slides, so im 99% sure that won't be the case at Great America.

I would hope not!! See maybe I am used to waterpark hotels... I did not know that some other waterpark charge a rental fee for tubes for lazy river or wavepools. Good thing for me to know now.

I didnt believe it off a website IVE BEEN to Noah's Ark. we had to rent the tubes for most rides. when we entered Noah's Ark you got 1 token which gave you 1 free tube rental. all other tube. you used that same tube all over the park for rides you needed them at. some slides had tubes you didnt need to rent but you had to wait in a longer line.

That's what I thought too but I guess not....

You are not alone. I would hope that it wouldn't be too large of a fee just to rent a tube.

not all places do it, but some places will make you rent a tube for attraction that do not need a tube. however, if an attraction requires it (tube slides) I've never seen a park make you pay for a tube. they generally have speciality tubes for those attractions anyway, so that they can't get mixed in with the general tubes.

No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.

They might have the option where you can rent a tube so you aren't searching for one whenever you need it. It's like that @ Magic Waters, but otherwise there are tubes that are around for publice use.

I think Bahama Mama and Big Bubba Tub are going to require special tubes. Since they are family rides, they will fit more people than the normal tubes. And you can see on the map of Hurricane Harbor on the website that there seems to be a lift back up to the top for the tubes.

Anyone think differently?

My question is why would they make you rent a tube for the slides if the one tube slide complex has a tube lift? The lift is to lift up the tubes for the riders, rather than having to carry them. It also just doesnt make sense to MAKE people rent tubes to ride on the slides.

Does anyone know if tubes will be allowed in the wave pool? I've heard of parks banning tubes in the wave pools because if you get enough people in there, people can get trapped under the tubes and drown under the waves.

Well, Magic Waters had problems with lifeguards being able to see under and around the tubes in the wave pool(they were yellow.) Then they ordered clear see through tubes to fix the problem.

They also limit the number of tubes in the wave pool. When it gets too crowded, lines form outside the entrance areas.

No they will not charge for tubs that you need on the slides or the lazy river. But, there will be limited number for FREE tubs, so if you want to by pass waiting for a tub then you can rent one. Also, some attractions will require a special tub so you will not be able to use the tub you rented.

Its fairly self explanitory. It's where you rent tubes for slides or wave pools. Some parks offer tubes for free and others charge for them (as a way for extra revineu).

Hurricane Bay will be closed 15 minutes every hour for a safety break. I believe it is a corporate policy as it is not in the state regulations.
