I believe that might be a picture from the Santa Clara theme park. :)

Good photos. It's too bad there are no sound effects or videos except the commercials.

It does go vertical.

I never knew it had a red corkscrew but it didnt originally. Look at some pictures of it and the corkscrews are all white.

^- Look at that same picture of the red corkscrew. In the background, the ramp leading up into the MCBR is still silver. I think that just the corkscrews were red, unless they were in the process of repainting the entire thing when that picture was taken.
Finally Coaster Season!!

The site has updated again with a cool video commercial for a 1982 season pass. The price was 40$ back then. Man its doubled since then...

Just remember that they RENAMED this ride the Delta Flyer after the real Delta Flyer (skyride) was removed.

Was this ride ever in County Fair at SFGAm under the name of Industrial Revolution, or was that a different flat ride? Great America Parks doesn't mention it if it was.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know the exact spots in Yukon and Orleans where this ride stood?

Yukon Yahoo was about where the entrance to Looney Tunes Nat. Park. is now, and then when it moved to Orleans Place it was where Condor is now.

I know but I felt like putting Delta Flyer so people could have a better idea of what I was talking about.

I have to say though those videos on the site were so much fun to watch. It was great to see what SFGAM was like way before I was born. I showed my mom the one from 1978 and she actually remembered it.

As you can see on this map guide from 1984, they were different rides.

If you look at the picture of the midway, it seems 3 times as crowded as it usually is these days.

Yeah, it does look that way. It must have been crazy since they didn't have as many rides as they do now.

The pictures of Columbia Carousel look really neat. I especially like the ones with the fireworks.
