Poor Shockwave. RIP Shockwave. It was bound to happen sooner or later. Even though I'll miss it, I'm am glad they finally decided to get rid of it cause it looks really stupid sitting on that hill for so long.
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/
I'm not going to morn Shockwave's demise, until I see an official
announcement, or I see them removing the parts. For all we know,
It could come back. But, I'm sick and tired of seeing rumors. I want
facts!

Don't expect Shockwave to come back at all. I have seen from my own eyes that the coaster was decapitated into small pieces by a crane. That must mean the metal is going to be scrapped.
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.
Hear ye, hear ye: "After 45 years, Six Flags has stopped smoking."
Maybe I'm just in denial! I don't want Shockwave to be destroyed!
For me, I just want Six Flags to say something about it. Just a simple
announcement. Oh Well.

I think it's about time. I was always thinking while in STT that they should have a speil on Shockwave, since so many people think that there is a new coaster sitting in my parking lot a lot.
"Looking directly past Vertical Velocity you'll notice what used to sit in the spot of Superman: Ultimate Flight. Shockwave the mega looper used to dominate the SFGAm sky line, it will be put to the melting pot this winter"
Top 5 wood-5-Goliath 4-Ravine Flyer II 3-Phoenix 2-Voyage 1-El Toro Top 5 Steel- 5-Velocicoaster 4- Maverick 3- Fury 325 2-Steel Vengeance 1-X2 Coaster Count: 444
I expected this to happen sooner or later. As someone said earlier, it's too bad that another park that needs a coaster couldn't pick it up. At least this will end the comeback rumors.
Yep, they are melting Shockwave to sell as scraps, same goes for Sky Whirl and every other ride back there. They need the parking for the employees because of the new waterpark.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.

You won't see an official announcement, it will just go. Sadly, it's going to you know where.

That makes a lot of sense why they could be getting rid of everything that's back there. But I thought Sky Whirl was already gone, unless you mean the cages. Maybe Power Dive will finally leave, and who knows about Ameri Go Round.
I did like Shockwave, and do miss it. But it is about time they finally did something with it. It's been sitting for too long now.
Ameri-go-round will not be scrapped for metal. They would sell it for cheap before they do that. They aren't just letting Ameri-go-round sit out and rust like they did to Shockwave.

I heard that from a worker on the 18th, but she said it was going to be shipped off to another park. But did they just tear the track appart into peices in the parking lot and then they will ship it off, or are they going to just ship it off how it is? And is it already gone?
Also, are they adding in more spots for workers in 2005, because there will be more workers, because of huricane harbor.
