The last trim is used quite often when I'm at the park and boy you loose all speed from that point. 2004 they used them 30% of the time so far. Now about Apollos Charriot When I go it's always trimmed to death. This just show it's the luck of the draw.
I've only had light trims on it once this season and it was on my last visit in mid-August. It wasn't so bad. I remember when it was really trimmed hard. That was bad.
I actually like the trims on the third hill because the trims give you much more air time. It may slow the ride, but it is defiantly worth the slow down to get more air time.

It's called floater air not ejector air. If you hold something on a string up (shoelaces work too) you will find that they start floating slowly upwards as you go over the hill. This is because your going over with just about 0 g's.
The 1st drop you experience ejector air. If you watch your shoelaces, you will find that they are forced upwards. This is because your experiencing negative g's. If the restraints wern't there, you would fly out of the train and follow a 0 g arc. On the 3rd hill, you might slowly float out of your chair but you wouldn't be forced out.
This is the difference between the two types of airtime.
