Best places to eat at SFGAm

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Danhockey04 on August 25th, 2004, 4:24 pm
With all the new, odd topics, I wanted to know what of you think the best place to get food in the park is. Also, I am making this topic because Sixflagsguy said something about food in SFGAm survivor 10, and it made me think about SFGAm food.

Alright this is my top five places to eat:
1. Firehouse Pizza
2. Bayou Grill
3. Panda Express
4. Crazy Buffalo Saloon -- Buffet
5. Angelo's Pasta
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer
Marathon down, Goofy to go.

Here are mine:

1.) Aunt Marthas chicken dinners ( if you beg them for extra macoroni they'll give it to you).
2.) The taco place in county fair.
3.) Any of the places with fries ( always ask for extra seasoning).

Let's see, there are only two types of foods I eat there. It's either the nut stand (Almonds and Pecans Yum!!!), or a funnel cake sundae. I tried the Cheddar beef and that was absolutely dry to the bone.

I would rather go out to Olive Garden, Taco Bell, Long John Silvers, Rainforest Cafe, Pizza Hut, Mcdonald's, Burger King, Uno's, KFC, Krispy Kreme, Lonestar, Wendy's, or Red Lobster.

1. Firehouse Pizza
2. Crazy Buffalo Saloon
3. Mooseburger Lodge
4. Panda express
5. Bayou Grill

These are my favorites in the park but I'm like some others...Most of the time I go to Olive Garden or Lonestar if I'm willing to hunt for a parking spot when I get back to the park.

1. Firehouse Pizza(It has been a tradition for most times that I have been to the park.)
2. The Grill restaurant or whatever in Farmer's Market. It has great burgers and french fries.

I have never eaten at any of the other restaurants. Just a few of the food stands.

This topic isn't anything new, I've seen 3 different forms of this topic before.

When I'm at SFGAm I usually eat lunch at Burger King or Gurnee Mills during the afternoon, then either get Fiesta Fries or a Turkey Leg for dinner. I also tried the roast beef and cheese sandwhich before and it was VERY good and VERY filling.

I will second whoever said Aunt Martha's Chicken Dinners. I just ate there on Saturday night, and I was quite impressed! It was delicious. The old lady working there gave me three scoops of mashed potatoes, and the macaroni without charging extra! :) Plus the roll, and the chicken itself for $7 was pretty reasonable considering it's at Six Flags.
Finally Coaster Season!!

But if you leave the park you save money but lose ride time.

I made this topic like, 15 months ago. Anyway, I like to eat at Firehouse and whatever's currently in the Farmer's Market, mainly so I get to look at the statue.

Firehouse is always a favorite, the interior of that place just has a cool feel to it, plus they have that area outside. And man... those breadsticks... awesome.

Aunt Martha's is nice as well... those apple dumplings are pretty good, too.

Mooseburger -- I don't know how people like the burgers there... they are horrible.

Crazy Buffalo Saloon -- Nice place, buffet is pretty good and not too expensive.
