Then which am I? (again). Let me guess, you're going to be a freshman and are having problems with your young teenage life.

What are you talking about? Let's see how many types of music there are. Heavy Metal, Rock, Pop, Techno, Country, Gospel, Jazz, Classical, Christian, Alternative, and other general ones such as- Scary music, Hero music, Adult Music, and the junky rap music. If anyone, can add some, I would appreciate it.

If you posted that, you must not be too bright along with your other da friend. I learned da when I was a little baby. It reminds me of the word, DUMB. When you call people nerds, what does that make you? Think about. It might take awhile for you to figure it out.

I have no problem with people liking rap music. However, you two think that you are superior to others through that statement just because you listen to rap music. It really makes you no different than anyone else. Music is music, so don't judge people by the music they listen to.

I understand why you said that though. The real reason why you said that is because people were making fun of rap music (which would be terrible to me if I liked it), and you wanted retribution. I would like to give you guys advice for the future, talk to the people that said that, and say that's not fair. It's my opinion that I like rap music, and why do you have to make fun of it instead of saying that people that don't listen to it are nerds and goths. Next time, just ask them why they feel the way they do.

I am sorry for calling you guys those things, but by saying what you said, you made me mad. I hope you two will also have the guts to apologize to everyone else.

Good to see someone caught Punk & Ska. Lets add Blues, Reggae, Swing / Big Band, and Bluegrass to the mix. Plus there are the numerous subsections of each kind of music i.e. Classic Rock, Oldies, Progrsssive, etc. If you get into that the list could continue on forever.

I guess when it comes down to it the only ones to give music a label is the Music Labels themselves, otherwise how would they market it :?:

Since we are talking labels of music and labeling people. What do you call someone who dislikes modern rap (likes old school), but likes Country, Bluegrass, Rock, Oldies, Jazz, Blues, Punk & Ska. Somehow I don't think Nerd or Goth quite fits.

As for Superman music ( and an attempt to revive topic). I think it would be neat if they added sound effects between music. Maybe someone saying "Look up there in the sky, is it a bird, is it a plane..... you know the rest. Just an Idea.
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.

Sigh...

I'm a freshman in college, start in a week or twoish... UW-Parkside represent. I don't fit any 'groups' too well, but I'm a mix of theater geek and wannabe rock star if you want to classify me. So, no, I'm not a nerd or goth. You believe only in extremes, don't you?

I think stereotypes are often hilarious, which is why I use them, when I'm rather obviously making half a joke. And no one's addressed my other comment...

In S:UF's queue house (switchbacks) they have both the TV's and the Superman music. in my opinion they need to get rid of one of those because when going simultaneously, it can sound pretty bad.

I listen to techno and trance. And in Marching band. Does that make me a nerd geek etc... no.

I would say being asked out 4x in the first 2 days of high school this year is preety good.

I know that there are many types of music out there and I dont care if someone listens to them. The only reason I said anything was that most people wound care if you listened to rap, no matter what they listen to. From the comments he made about rap music, I figured he wasn't too mature, and that he was probibly a goth or heavy metal kinda guy because they are the only people I ever hear dissing rap and makin those kinda comments.

Because Planea is a PIMP. Girls want him so bad they ask him out. Jeez. Anyway...I don't think the comments dissing rap music were immature. Come to think of it, rap is one of the most immature genres around.

No, it is not wierd at all. Girls always ask guys out, especially if the girl really likes the guy, or the guy does not know her. It is quite normal for a girl to ask a guy. Back to whatever this topic was about...something about Superman music.
