I reall do not understand why people love to knock Screamscape. They knock the site, but yet know what is Lance is reporting. It is a rumor site and rumors make great conversations and people like hearing what COULD happen.
The best example is Major League Baseball. The hottest time of the year on the web for MLB is the trade deadline because of the rumors.
Disney sites are loaded with rumors. You can check out Mice Age or Laughing Place and you will find interesting topics. 75% of the time the rumors turn out false, but who cares. Rumors are fun to talk about and you really find out about a persons opinions through rumors.
Obviously Screamscape is still around and people enjoy the site. Even if you don't agree with the site it doesn't mean others feel the same way.
From what I read of on the site Lance knows WDW really well because he lives in Orlando. The problem is he relies to much on others for other park info. He gets burned sometimes, but thats life
I think I saw other variations on this rumor. Some stated that it would be the tallest floorless or a hyper floorless, and I even think that there was one out there saying that the new floorless would have the same inversions as Shockwave. I don't know if all of those came from this site or not, but it is one of my favorite stupid rumors. Who in their right mind would call a rollercoaster waverunner?
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.
Later in that topic it says that it might be a wild mouse coaser instead of a Floorless. Also that topic was from before SUF even opened. If you think about it that topic had some truth in it. It talked about a new territory and mouse coaster which we got this year...

Who in their right mind would name a coaster Hurler?

Woodland..that was in December 2003-Superman opened in May 2003. We all had ridden S:UF by then.

To go along with that, there is a difference between rumors and conversations about what could happen. Right now, we're having a conversation about where the waterpark could go. It doesn't mean someone is saying "I'm 100% sure that the waterpark is going here". Saying that would be considered a rumor, because you're making it up (unless, of course, you really do know).

In recent years I have noticed that Iron wolf has not had anything done to it. It needs new trains, and a paint job. The line is never that long so I think six flags is going to let it go in '05 or '06. I personally love the ride and would hate to see it go, but I think six flags is not going to put anymore money into it and take it down. It is B&M first coaster, and first Stand up coaster and they didn't do a good job because of the speed that you go into the corkscrew.
(THIS IS NOT A RUMOR, IT'S A PREDICTION BASED ON FACTS.)

The general rule of thumb when it comes time to try and distinguish rumor from opinion(conversation):
*Rumor: Usually starts with or includes the phrase; "I heard from...", "I read somewhere...", "Guess what we might be getting", or "My sources say...."
Opinion or Converastion: Usually starts with; "My opinion is..."(duh ), "I think that...", or "Does anyone else think...".
Conversation is very different from rumors, but usually ends up with nothing but rumors.

Screamscape goes into the classification for me of the Tabloids, they just dig up every single piece of dirt and the post it just so that people will read ( or visit ) them.
I'm sure people will continue to go there, but I'm sorry that site is not deserving of my time, I would much rather find truthful news from a trustworthy site. Or in my case, you just go do the journalism yourself. I find REAL news to be more exciting than rumors, simply because it will not be something in your imagination forever.
This is the funniest and stupidest rumor of all time.
Six Flags Great America New Coaster for 2005? 'I was at Great America when i went on the splash ride on the top of the big hill i saw some white roller coaster parts(?) and some blue ones i saw the same ones on the american eagle and they were on the hill by the picnic grove '
Um yes that would be shockwave, which was taken down 2 years ago.
But what I'm wondering is that person someone who lives by Six Flags and goes there all the time or are they from somewhere else.
It's scary because it sounds like they live by Six Flags. Why else would they be excited for a new coaster there.
