Six Flags Mexico lookes like it's getting the next generation flying coaster. And Stong Rumor has it Cedar Point will wait to also build bigger and better in 2006. So, I propose since I amoung many people feel The Current Layout on Superman in just O.K. at best, and with all that room left over from Shockwave why not retrofit our ride? We deserve better we lost alot for it it would only be right. With the new water park going in it's proof Shockwave never had to leave! All other Six Flags Clones are still running and we had the first and best. Vortex still runs at Kings Island and their adding a new coaster and Vortex stays. I'm not saying rebuild Shockwave, just correct a bad call on the parks front.

Uhm, looks more like the hyper that they've been building for the past few years.
The only thing I have against S:UF is the vibrations, they're not bad but not very comfortable in flying position. That way I could sit in the back again . Other than that it's a kick arse ride. What mistake did they make Ron? I'd rather have Whizzer running than ShockWave, anyday. Go look at Whizzers line and compare it to ShockWaves, no mistake to me...as far as the layout goes it's fine to me, a bit short but that's SF not GAm.

Man I swear Cedar Point makes me mad right when we get good coasters they always have to take it away like V2, Ragin Bull, Batman all the good stuff to that damn park.
No matter how hard it is...Never EVER give up. The real failure is those who dont try.
I agree. We need to rob Cedar Fair LP or something because we're an all around better park.

I know that's not what happened but I either saw it and don't remember it or I didn't see it. Anyway that's just a possibility of what could of happened.
I want the sfgam survivor to be held every July and August.
^ I agree. Though because I live about 3 hours from CP, no one around here thinks Six Flags is worth anything. They say that they don't have "tall enough" rides etc. I've been to CP enough times to say, that SFGAm is better. When people say stuff like that, when I know they know nothing on the subject, it really gets on my nerves.
Um mabye you're right but if cedar point went bankrupt and sfgam getting a water park it won't really mattertoo much now that gueaga lake belongs to cedar fair.

Ah, I just have to laugh at the though of CP "going bankrupt". Trust me, CF would sell everything they had before CP would go under. Not like that ever is going to happen. Unless there is a huge amusement backlash about some large incident.
In the short term Superman is a success. In the long run it will be a failure. Huge lines last year and MG this year has the park seem spread out. The problem I have is that I find myself wanting to ride Batman, Vu, Viper, Eagle, and Demon more than I want to ride Superman. When someone is choosing that many older rides over a new one it is not good. In a few years Supeman will have one of the shortest lines in the park because the GP will find it old. Thats what is so great about the coasters I listed above - They never get old. After the loop Superman is boring. The roll is ok at best.
Great America used to get B&M firsts (IW, Batman, RB) and now we got stuck with a clone. Rumors swirling about about B&M's first 4D going to Great Adventure is upsetting. I know they are only rumors, but If Great America is one of the Jewels it deserves the best and Superman is not it.
Finally I can talk to you about calling me an idiot in the other forum. Ever hear the term: It takes one to know one. Strange how the first word in a guy's avator perfectly describes him.
MOD NOTE: Don't steal my insults.

This is just ironic. Yesterday, I was just looking at an old topic in which Soxman was talking to mostly Coasterdude316 about how SFGAm is messed up, and today you are posting. No offense to either of you, but you guys were giving me a headache with all your writing. Flashbacks and irony, I better get to sleep soon before my brain explodes.
If my memory is correct that conversation took place almost a year ago if not more. I have been all over the country this past year and have not been posting.
My trips to Great America this year have been very well. The park is getting better, but it will never be what it once was. The additions this year have been good. MG was a little over-hyped, but the park is being run well compared to two years ago. My biggest complaint is still Vu. The one thing I can't stand is low capacity coasters and non-reliable coasters. Vu is both! I think it is an exciting ride, but not worth the frustration. The new team in charge has given the park a breath of fresh air.
I am torn on the water park idea. I believe it will help out with attendence and it is a long time coming from corp. If they add a second gate in the parking lot they better add a lot more parking. Not just what they use, but more. This past week for the reading event parking was a nightmare. Also I don't know if the water park can compete with the Dells and Rockford. The estimated 30-35 million is a lot of money. I can't wait to see the results.
Maby they should just open superman 3 times a month if that, like deja vu. Then people would think that there getting a special treat when they ride it. lol J/k
It's about time six flags got all of the rides running smoothly with all of it's problems. I think that it willl be hilarious that Great Adventure is in the process of building (maybe) a taller version of Top Thill Dragster but with all of it's downtime and troubles CP has it running pretty good. With all of Six Flags debt and cut backs it will be a long time before they get all of the bugs worked out. Just look at SFMM. All of it's roller coasters are runing on 1 or 2 trians IF there running. It took 2 years to get all 3 Deja' Vu's working. So those of you all work up about Six Flags Great Adventure's "mystery ride" Don't get your hopes up!!
Blah, like CP doesn't have any problems with TTD. They had a couple accidents and have had reports of many people getting rollbacks on it. People have to blame MM for the whole chain. There are more than 20 SF parks, and people look at only MM.
