I agree a little paint really is all that section needs. If you haven't excepted the corporate theming by now when will you? Besides Batman has grown if so nice it finally looks good. If a section needs changing it's County Fair, why?, it's way to big. It stretches over half the park. They promise changes give them time. One possible fly in the ointment if Time Warner buys MGM who knows what will happen to Six Flags Parks?
I like the theme over there, plus they added the Scooby-Doo ride a little while ago. It could just be a tad bit better, the theming (Shazzam is the worst part). Shazzam came from a movie with Shaq, it could have been a comic book too.

To clear up my point Six Flags uses Time Warner Related Indicia. Batman Superman Looney Tunes Cartoon Network just to name a few. MGM has a huge stable of movie properties to use. Even the mighty Disney has a MGM Studio Theme park. Oh yes Six Flags will jump on the bandwagon and well we all will have to live with it. SIX FLAGS MGM'S GREAT AMERICA, I'm use to it already. Hometown Square could become Kansas The Whizzer of Auhs is already there! Dorothy want to ride the witches wheel?

Shazzam is a DC comic, which is what the ride was based on. (Completely different tnan the Shaq. movie) Their was also a Shazzam TV show in the 70s that was based on the comic. Seems odd they would use Shazzam instead of a bigger DC character like Riddler, Catwoman, Etc. Maybe they thought they used those enough, or used a smaller name since it was a used flat ride.

About the lighthouse, if you look at the plans for the Entertainment Village (they are at the Warren-Newport library) there was supposed to be a lighthouse there. Do you think they were planning to put up the Yankee Harbor lighthouse over there? This is just a guess.
I would take V2 over that stupid lighthouse anyday.

Im not saying that they should take out V2 they should just have the lighthouse back because I barely think people know Yankee Harbor is suppose to be how it is.
If you go to the Warren-Newport Public Library in Gurnee, go to the reference desk and ask for the Six Flags Entertainment Village plans. They are reference, so you can't check them out. There are blueprints and drawings. It is really fun to look at what the plans were to be.
I would provide a link to their description on the Library website, but the catalog part of the site is down right now.

Isn't Yukon Territory in Canada?

Oh no not the fight over, Yukon being in Canada and that EVERYTHING in Great America must follow the American theme. I dont think it's that important, and I think park management feels the same.
All Yankee Harbor needs is the light house next to V2 in the water and some boats like little next to IMS and change the name to that ride back to Yankee Clipper. And maybe a new paint job.

Hometown Sqaure is 1920's Rural America. Is Kansas Rural? Most of it! It's already covered.
I was thinking of V2 of being a harbor.... It will go perfect with a light house in the back. Yeah that means like change all the signs and everything around it but it will look more of a harbor theming. Redo the batman store teh way it was....the arcade across from it can still be an arcade just like more of a harbor theming. They can probly change the restrooms but I dont know if it will fit next to BTR.

Nobody really knows how long Disney and MGM will be together. Rumors swirl every year that The Great Movie ride will be taken out and the relationship will be terminated. Disney has already tried to get people to just call the park Disney Studios and drop the MGM. Disney has already put up their new icon (Sorcerer Hat) blocking the old one.
