Original Rides

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Last night I was laying in bed and thinking about great america. Then it hit me, none of the roller coasters we have are hand me downs! In fact we are the ones who hand down. Has anyone else noticed that?

If I'm wrong, tell me.

We had Z-Force First. And the only thing that is a handmedown, is Revolution. And wasn't King Chaos bought at an auction?

The only non-original rollercoaster I can think of is Rolling Thunder which is long gone. Besides Revolution, I heard that Condor is from SFGAdv (from this page).

It seemed used when it first came in the park.

It was at Magic Mountain, not sure if it was at GAdv after that then at GAm but I know it was at MM.

Okay, okay I heard you. It was in what is now the Southwest Ampitheater. Now, this was 11 years ago, but from what I remember, they had Batman and the green hair guy (Joker?). Batman was trying to escape or get something, I think. They had some fire and stuff like that. It was more stunts that anything. Sorry, that's all I really remember.

Yeah it was joker. At first I thought you meant riddler then I'd have to say you are wrong but you're not. I like the justice league on cartoon network so I would know that. But I didn't know that they had the southwest ampitheartre that long ago?

Yes, the Batman show was pretty good, but in my opinion the SWT Stunt Show was better. God, I miss thoe shows. :x All I remember is Batman sliding down something then something exploding and you could feel the heat from the fire in the back row.

I think SFGAdv now has a Batman and a Catwoman show. I do wish SFGAm had back either of those two. The Batman show was there for a good bit, and then they changed the outside of the theater as more of the SW feeling and to fit the "western show."

As far as I could remember back is that southwest territory show. in my opinion: Next year they should renew the southwest theme in that area. I mean it's good now and better than the rest of the place but I want it great. In a way it's kind of like the grass in roller coaster tycoon, it starts out great but then the weeds start to sprout an it looks crappy.

You are not wrong...I noticed that a long long time ago. We first had Ragin Bull then SFMM got Goliath same thing with Shock wave turned to Viper same park. Millium Force opened after Ragin Bull and we had Z force and Batman ( Batman the ride was made espically for us thats why its so thin the size because of the area )

Someone asked earlier about the amphitheatre there. The Batman Stunt Show was there for a while. I remember seeing it at least twice when i was little so it was there for at least two years. And it wasn't the "Southwest" Amphitheatre then. But i don't remember what they called it. I remember seeing Joker...He was in it. and I remember Batman Firing his Grappling hook and flying across the audiance. I liked that stunt show. I liked the SWT stunt show too. They should bring it the stuntshows back. And you're right SfGaMownz...It's better then that circus S***!

Yeah, if you think about it, many sf parks took off after GAm recieved something...

Also with original rides...CC was at Riverside Park and then came to GAm.

What do you mean by that. Well they are for little kids also so its all about how the kids feel to.
