New program on KC

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

When I was at the park on July 28th, the new program they have running for KC is awesome, way better then it was when KC first started running. If anyone else saw the new program running, share your thoughts on the new program.

I finally went on it on Monday, it was awesome, a little too short of a ride though. I don't know whether or not it is the same program you are talking about.

My record with the way it runs now is 5 full flips, still not the best ride but it's a little better than it was before. One time, I didn't even get close to flippin once, when I was the only one on it, heh.

I dont think that it ever will have water jets. And the new ride program makes me mad. Yo flip 2 times then it sucks after that until they tilt you forward by the station and you swing back and forth. I wish they would just do what the first part is over and over again like in roller coaster tycoon.

Depending on weight, i've seen it flip anywhere from 0-6 times with the same program running.

Before my last ride on it during CAD it flipped 6 times each the two rides ahead of me. When I got on though it only flipped twice :(. So you can get a great ride or a average ride now depending on weight basically. It's still running a far better program now then when it originally opened.

They should keep one program on the ride. See how the program is and leave it alone. The reason I say this is because people will ride KC or any other ride and they will have first impressions. If they like the ride, they will continue to go on it. Let's say that most of the people that went on the ride to begin with, hated it. They will probably not go on it again even though it might be a different experience the next time. Power Dive is gone for people having a bad first impression. I bet many people thought I'm not going on this again.

For SFGAm fanatics like many of you guys and girls, it's a totally different story. Many of us will try it black and blue until they get the program that works the best.

I went on it yesterday. I have to say I'm still not impressed. I agree, I think the amount of people/weight make a difference. Usually, when the whole thing was filled, I saw it flip at least once or twice. When I went, I walked on, back row was empty...didn't flip once.

Lame.

I disagree, I like the Top Spins that have a few programs, then randomly select one. That way you're not sure what you're gonna get. Makes it more exciting.

I was there for CAD and I never saw KC open, was it open early in the day or something?

I rode it at about 2:30...it closed around 3 or 4 probably. I saw it stuck right before it closed for the day.

I've done 8 backflips on Texas Twister. That was the night they (SFWoA) loaded the gondola at 10 and went through every program. There were 7 programs. I walked off at 10:30 and was absolutely thrilled. Until KC has something like that, I don't even want to hear about it - one program sucks! :)

Today, my brother called me and told me that King Chaos, when he was on it had 8 inversions. WOW!! It is getting good now.

They are adjusting the ride to find the overall best program for the park. They started tame and short and have gotten more intense and longer as time has passed.

When I went to the park on Monday, I got on KC soon after it opened for the day. While in line, I saw it give 4 inversions, and then the ride right before mine it gave 5 inversions. Finally, when it was my turn to go, we got six inversions. It seemed out of control! And then... we stopped. At the top of the cycle. We sat up there for five minutes listening to Manny B until they let us down. They let us stay in the exit and ride again when it reopened in five minutes. The next time, we only got 3 inversions. In conclusion, it all depends on weight distribution.

Well I finally went on it Wed and we were the 1st ride on it and the 1st 2 rows were not even filled but we only flipped 2 times!! I can imagine that if I went on it when it flipped 5 or 6 times that it would be a awesome ride. We it lifts you upside down backwards that totally freaked me out.. that part was awesome but the rest of it was really slow. Oh well I am looking forward to going on it again and seeing all of the different programs that are available.

Talk about 'new programs' yesterday Revy was quite a bit better. It didn't take forever to start spinning, right away it started spinning, real fast. Surprised me.
