I did not plan on going to the park for pictures this weekend, so I left the 10D at home. I was able to snap off a few so-so shots with my wife's little G2.
The blue skys with the sweeping white clouds made for some nices shots of DejaVu.
Really too bad I didn't bring the nice body and glass for some good pictures. It would have been a Great weekend for it.
I was also able to take some good pictures this past weekend. They sky and the sun made for several good photo opportunity's. Usually I don't get to post my high quality photo's on the PhotoZone...but since some of the photo's this weekend came out so good this weekend I figured I would share a few as well.

I was using my wifes Canon G2. It is an older model, 4MP.
When I am out just to take pictures I use my Canon 10D or Canon 300D (Digital Rebel). They are both 6.4MP CMOS cameras (they are Digital, but have an actual shutter, yep..click sound is not out of a speaker). I have about 25 lenses to go with the 10D/300D. It is no easy task to lug the 10D/300D around with a decent selection of lenses while at the park. I try and set aside 2-3 days per season to get to the park just for pictures.
One thing that I absolutly hate about the G2 (the one I was using this weekend) is that you can't manually set the ISO. It will let you do everything but set the ISO. Makes it hard to get things "perfect".
FWIW....The Digital Rebel has come down in price over the past few months. It can be had for under 850 now at most local stores, and even less online. But, get ready to drop 2-3 thou on some lenses to really make that camera show its power.
Nice pictures. If you see dark skies, those are cool to look at too.
