Yesterday when I went to Six Flags on the 6th there was a BIG guy that couldnt fit on S:UF and he was cursing, yelling, hitting the desk where they control the rides. He got kicked off the park. Anyways dont you think its not fair to them to wait in line and tell them in the last minute they cant go on it. They should tell them in the begining instead of that chair b/c a lot of people dont even use it except little kids and sometimes adults.
Well just like you said, they should have used the chair. But I think they should tell the employee outside to nicely ask anyone in question to try the harness on. I don't know though, some people may take offense.
in my opinion: That would be the most embarrassing thing ever because everyone's watching. If that doesn't make you want to lose weight I don't know what will.
I changed my avatar in honor of papas. What happened to him?
If you don't fit on the ride(i.e. Superman) you will fall out. One time when a woman would not fit onto Superman and the harness didn't click once.(And there are no seatbelts) She asked nicely if she could still ride. What do you think the answer was? In your case hispanoway, he was attempting to ride at his own risk. The test seat is there for a reason and if you fail to try it out, your taking a chance at waiting for the ride.
Did I say we should let them on. No. All I say is that they should like do something like tell them before they enter the line so they wont get mad. Yea it is their own risk and fault but how would you feel if your overweight and you had to weight an hour and a half then it turns out that you can not ride the ride. Well the workers say it to them in the nicest way but they act like they can not do that from the beginning.

The ride-op is not the one to notify people, the people have to know if they are questionable to ride. People have to realize that the ride-ops do not make the rules, they only follow what they are told to do. They are there to operate the ride and make sure that everyone is safe before dispatch, if this fails to happen, bad things will happen to that person.
Anyways, Superman is the only ride that has a person standing out in front of the ride, the others either have the fastlane man or no one there.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.

Most of the times they do have people outside in the entrance. They have them to give out tickets when its full, which most of the time it is.
I personally don't think it's the ride ops fault for telling some overweight person that he/she can't ride. They are just following the safety rules issued by the park and the ride manufacturer.
My brother and his friends were at the park the other day, and were on bull and the lady sitting a car in front of them was quite large, and she couldn't get enough clicks down on the lap bar, so they sent her off the ride.
I know they feel embarased and maybe mad, but whose fault is it that you are overweight? Nobody is making you do anything, so in the end, if you want to be "heavy-set", don't expect to enter a theme park, wait hours on end for a ride, and expect to fit in a seat.
