Yesterday was a werid day at the park to say the least... with DV valley,B:TR close call and this..
The GD ride ops where telling people not to drop change off the tower. As Gurnee Law and Six Flags rules state..
The next cycle right after that annoucement, change came raining down from the tower much to the dismay of the ride ops...4 people where then subsequently ejected from the park.... The next ride..... Same annoucement... more change off the tower...
2 more people ejected, seriously how stupid can you be to drop change off the tower?
didn't they check the people's hands before they brought them up, or they could have just reached in their pocket, either way, that is plain stupid. It amazes me how dumb people can be when they are at the park, they think that they are cool for breaking all the rules, when it is just stupid.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
They think it is funny until someone gets hurt. They don't realize that the change also comes down. Stupid people. They got what they deserve. This is as worst as line jumping.
Even though checking hands can help, if a person is wearing cargo shorts they will have no problem in getting stuff out of them during the ride, even in regular pockets it can happen.

When you have people like this, being ejected out of park is not enough. They should fine this people like $1000 each because if you don't, they will come back again and do the same thing. It's not even an accident.

Talk about being extremely stupid. Once that change comes down you are as good as dead. Unless it's windy, that change is going to come straight down and basically convict you of your crime and stop you dead in your tracks. Some people are so stupid.
Harmless fun?A penny droping from that height would hurt and could make ur head bleed, how about I drop a brick from that height onto your head it would only be harmless fun to me.
That is defiantly not harmless, it is more like harmful, even a small penny, though it may not kill you, will cause some serious damage to a person that is standing below if struck. It can cause you to bleed and cut open your head, and they are just asking for a lawsuit.

No threatening people on the forums. Sic Coaster Kid is right, anything from that height except cotton could hurt someone (especially coins). Speed picks up 9.8 m/s every something or another. I forgot.

I wasnt threatning anyone, dont play Mother with me.
Okay have you ever seen Mythbusters?? Yea they do a penny test dropping from the Empire State Building Height and it can't even dent the pavement, doesnt even make a mark in the guys hand, it just stings.
And yes gravity does pull with 9.8m/s, good physics knowledge, but when you multiply it by the weight it doesnt cause that much force.

Thats not the point, the point is people can be hurt. Sure most of the time it might not be a major injury, but it can still injure somone.
With the Operators they need to be looking up watching the ride during the ascent/decent phase, and that puts their eyes in the direct line of fire.
And I have seen on operator get a cut on their head from a falling object, they weren't sure if it was a coin or what not, but it caused the operator to bleed.
I don't think that being pelted by change was part of their job description either.
Oh and gravity is -9.8 m/s GRAVITY IS ALWAYS NEGATIVE! ( Jason, thats from Scotty B. )
I don't think it's right for someone else's safety to be in your hands - that's the only thing I have wrong with that. I used to take a penny on the back spike of S:UE until I dropped when and realized how incredibly stupid it was. Since then, I've been extremely careful and don't even drop the coin on the Intamin 1st Generations. That was classic for the coin.
Simple thing is don't drop change or any other object from Gaint Drop. Props to Six Flags for promptly ejecting those people who choose to drop change from the ride.
