Anyone Else been stuck on the Eagle?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Tomo_kun on July 5th, 2004, 12:10 pm
Has anyone else been stuck on the eagle because somone was taking there seatbelts on? Also, has anyone else been mistaken for the person taking there seatbelt off while the ride was going (then they find the person who did)? Last weekend i was stuck on the blue eagle for atleast 15 minutes X_X.

I've seen Eagle Blue getting stuck on it's lift hill a lot this season, my friend's sister was stuck on it for about 20 minutes on Wendesday.

Is it easier for the ride operators to see the seatbelts being unhooked on the blue eagle? It must happen a lot on the red one too.

I've been stuck on the Eagle lift several years ago for about twenty minutes.

Timmy, don't use the "old style" White Sox logo, use the current one. Sorry, it is a peeve of mine as well as other White Sox fans that I know.

Thank you.

Don't start arguing over the name please. The ride wont stop of you open your seatbelt unless a ride op sees it and stops it manually. On viper our seatbelt was smashed and didnt stay locked (Remember Kyle?) and the ride still dispatched. There is no sensor in the seatbelt on thoes two rides in the first place.

Well ofcourse there isnt a sensor, since the ride op started yelling at me (she thought it was me, it was the people behind me and she realized that) saying that she saw it.

I was asking if it was more common for them to see it happen on the blue train then the red.

I don't think it happens anymore on blue than red. This year was the first year that I noticed them enforcing the seatbelt rule. Have they always been there? Because when I went last year and the year before I don't remember using them or even seeing them.

Do the seatbelts really help? Isn't it too easy to unbuckle them like some people do? I like the sure things better such as the lapbars on Am E, Viper, Fiddler's Fling, and so on. That does make sense that Am E B is getting stopped more because people are unbuckling. The train is facing the workers. With the red train, you can only see people's backs.

I got stuck last year on the blue lift hill. It wasn't too long though... fortunately the ops came up to check on all of us.

Earlier this year, blue was crawling while I was on red. We could see the top of it just coming over the hill when we were at the bottom, and we were already halfway through the helix when it finally went over. And it never stopped completely, it just went really slow.

I didnt get stuck on Eagle this year yet but in like 2001, we got on the ride right at close and got stuck on top of the hill and we were up there about 45 mins before they said we had to walk down the hill because they couldnt get the ride to go or something.

What happens when you get stuck on a ride? Do you get a free pass to not wait in line b/c thats what I heard.

Yeah, we got one of those passes where you can just walk up the exit and ride instead of waiting in the line.

especially when the staircase is shaking because nine people are on it at once, when it is built for one or two people at a time (luckily we were row two because they took two rows at a time)

Was it the spiral or the drop staircase? I've always wanted to walk down from the top of Raging Bull. (The op at Whizzer said she would pee in her pants if she had to do that )
