Has anyone ridden on a parade float as a season pass member??
If so what do you have to do to be in the parade???? Is it somethiong that you should do first thing when you go into the park???
I rode on a parade, but not as a passholder, but during coaster buzz. We were able to throw beeds at people, while having to make noise every timethey rang that bell. If you want to be in the parade, go there early because they only take about 40 people.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
So is the beasd throwing already over????
Seems way too early in the year to stop what has been hyped as a p;art of the new mardi gras atmposphere the park is pushing in the new re-themed area.
The parade is kind of a gimmick to get people out of the park. It loures (sp?) people to the front of the park. Then after it's done people leave. That's why the last hour of the day never really has any lines...

Bead throwing was part of the Mardi Gras Festival which was weekends in "May". now it's back to the normal "Jumpin' Jammin' Jubilee" parade. where you can still ride on the trolleys but no one cares.
Note: Tweety's float "Bird Cage" has been out of the line-up all year. (Mardi Gras and JJJ) it has a bird cage on the front, a window and sylvester peeking at tweety from a trashcan. Does anyone know what's wrong with it?
Do the beads really matter, I mean comon people, we're all over 13 here...Can't we find something more entertaining to do than throw plasitc beads at people who are not looking?
While adults may not care about the beads, kids really like haviong them/catching them and throwing them from a float!!!!
Its pretty sad if the park cant afford to have beads for the parade all year!!!
If you really feel the need to throw beads/get beads, might I suggest a trip to New Orleans, LA. That makes me wonder....does SFNO do something like this all the time, since they are in the heart of mardi gras city?
Honestly, how many kids/families that haven't visited the park yet this season would ever know that people in the parade threw mardi gras beads?
How kiddish is it to pelt beads at people? If I were SFGAm and saw you doing that, I would say see you later for the rest of this year. What has America come to?
Yeah, it's so fun to make people have black and blue foreheads at the end of the day. Terrible!!!!!!
I'm assuming that your being sarcastic there, but in my opinion it just adds to the fun of the parade. Maybe on only one of the floats they could throw beads. It could be the "Mardi Gras" float. It could also get people out ofthe park faster because kids will follow that float to get more beads. I think it would be a great thing to do.

I'm sorry about the misconfusion because pelt is a harsh word (to strike with a succession of blows or missiles according to my Merriam-Webster dictionary) Anyway, I'm sorry.
I thought bead throwing was over but, i was looking at a show schedule, and heres what it said.
"An exciting celebration erupts into song, dance, lights, and fireworks. Join your favourite LOONEY TUNES friends for this nighttime parade Spectacular. Then, be ready to catch some beads and have some fun with our Mardi Gras Parade."
And this is an up-to-date show schedule. So do they just throw beads in mardi Gras? but i just saw the parade in Mardi Gras and no one threw beads.
