Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I was wondering what your favorite section at sfgam is.

Mine would have to be southwest territory. I love the themeing and the rides there.

Who doesnt love Southwest territory :P

The question should be "Favorite section in the park before SWT was built" ;)

In which case I would choose Yankee Harbor!

Yukon Territory. in my opinion it has the best theming and atmosphere plus V2 is right there! (I know-V2 is in Yankee Harbor). I love the evergreen trees and the frontier town approach to it.

Second on my list would probably be Yankee Harbor, although I never got to see it in its origional themeing.

I dont really care for Southwest Territory. I don't pick themed areas based on the rides. Southwest Territory has nice theming, but it isnt my style of a theme. It needs more sand too.

I think new orleans/mairdi gras looks good, and I really love the atmosphere in county fair, but hometown squares my favorite. I love the old fasioned candy store and stuff and the landscaping and just sitting on the beches in the gazebo area and looking up at the rides while venga boys plays in the background.
I rilly rilly like swt but in needs more culture, not jut the buildings and music. I think they should theme it more to american history and the people who came to settle the west. They need more mexican bands in the open air building connected to chobasco, and hanging flag things that are mexican colors. Thy could put up red white and blue banners throgh the land too. They could put a sign on the train bridge that says continental railroad company or sumthin for the settlers and chinese imagrants who settled the west and built the railroads at that time. I really think they need the warner brothers wild west stunt show back because thats a perfect theme. It would really be awesome if there was room for an indian canoe ride but theres no water. Think disneys idea for a pirates of the carribean style ride called western river expedition and then think of that theme being played out in the whole territory, not in a ride. Go to google and type in western river expedition till u find an article about the concept of the ride.

And I love yankee harbor, but its not what it could be. I used to live in new england and i could make a whole theme park just out of the yankee harbor theme. I think by changing yankee clipper to ice mountain splash (which changed the sign) and putting in v2 killed the section. Batman tkes up a great deal of land that could be converted to theming as well, but i love the ride so whatever.

Yeah, I'm not too sure how they managed to put The Alamo and Dodge City together to form one territory, but they managed it!

I never thaught about it, I guess once I think about it County Fair because of how much time I spend there. Vu is not my favorite ride but I ride it everynight after my Demon right before the park closes, the rides there normally have the shorter lines (Iron Wolf, Eagle, Demon) and a lot of times I find myself just bopping around that area riding those. Also I love walking around in the morning and evening when it's nice and quiet. My second favorite part would have to be Carousel Plaza, whenever i'm in a bad mood I can just walk over there and the party or Scenic Railway/Sky Trek music cheers me up.

County Fair is my favorite. It has a certain feel to it with all the games and lights, expecially at night. I also loved running to the Eagle first thing when I was a kid and it was the BIG ride everyone went to .
Waiting to fill this space with something stupid to say!
