New Batman paint.

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Actually it was NOT the first inverted coaster, there were some other small ones before, mainly over in Asia that existed before this, not very successful however. B:TR was the world's first Outside looping suspended roller coaster. And when it first opened, its crowds were WAY worse than Bull. ( Think capacities between rides too.)

Yep, you can see the line snaking around East River Crawler and across the little creek on its own bridge. People acually waited through it too.

When I was at the park back in 1992 on a Sat, the line started near the hometown kiddies and wrapped around the front of the park and all the way to the ride. Now that was scary :)

That third entrance (in Orleans Place) is still used on busy days.
And yes B:TR was always by far the most popular ride in the park up until Bull opened in 1999.

Isn't that third entrance gone now? I didn't notice when I was at the park, but if I'm not mistaken, Jester's Wild Ride filled up that entire spot.

I mailed sfgam a letter asking why they chose the colors yellow and blue, and here is there reply:

"Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding Batman. We are always eager to assist our Guests whenever possible.

As we plan for future attractions, it sometimes becomes necessary to refurbish existing areas and rides. Much consideration goes into the planning and color scheme of such projects. Batman is next to our new "Mardi Gras" area that will also be very colorful.

Again, we thank you for your comments. We appreciate your patronage and look forwart to your future visits."

I didn't get a straight answer, but I thought I would post it anyway.

It pretty much sounds like the park wanted to make Batman more colorful and make it look newer like Mardi Gras.

I dont care about the color and actually like the new one better now that I have ridden it a few times. And you people need to stop arguing over this stupid batman blue or black thing because there practically the same color and your causing unneeded conflicts.

About batmans queue and how long it used to be, thats pretty awesome that it could attract that many people. I love walking on that queue in the summer. Me and my friends used to get on it over by new orleans grill (current mardi gras stage) on the path that is now covered and overgrown with weeds and go up past the water, around ERC, and through ever gotham city parkway switchback.

I guess you'll get black and yellow because the paints peeling. It's harder to see black peeled off than yellow.

Also, it's kind of funny that they kept Demon to black in which you think it should be red, and changed Batman to yellow which they should have kept black.

(Man, I miss Maggie in the peace sign. Can't find that in SFOG grafitti)

who cares about the color all that i know is that batman is running fast this year and has moved back into my top 3, on another note, iron wolf could use some color that is a tacky looking million dollar structure.
Rode Raging Bull 9 times opening Day, lol to all who were scared of the weather.!.

Since we are talking about painting and colors, how come many wooden coasters (full structures) don't receive any paint besides white or non (viper). Is there any wooden roller coaster that has another color? If not, why not? It's takes longer is not an excuse. (Rcs are painted white)

I also have never seen a steel coaster painted completely white. That would be wierd and cool at the same time.
