Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
I went to SFGAm on Saturday from 1-7pm. When we left I noticed that the flags were half mast. I knew that someone had died because this year we took the constitution test (I hate how 7th grade has to take it now) and we learned about half mast.
Was anyone else at SFGAm on Saturday and if so did you notice this?

All the american flags in the park (including Sky Trek) were half mast, and an announcement went over the speakers saying about Reagans death.

Did they only make the announcement once? I didnt find out until we were leaving the park and we past by a flag pole at half mast.....and we were driving to trainees back to the training base...or whatever its called, and they mentioned it.

Actually all flags are to be at 1/2 staff for sure on Friday, as that is the national day of mourning for Regan, most flags will just stay at 1/2 staff until that time.

Kyle.
Only government buildings are required (mandatory) to put the flag at half-staff.
Private businesses such as Six Flags do it out of respect because it's voluntary.
I saw alot of businesses on Sunday not putting the flag at half-staff.
SFGAm putting the Sky Trek Tower flag at half-staff really gets noticed. I applaud them for this.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

My work actually sent us something stating that flags were supposed to be kept at 1/2 mast for 30 days.. until July 3rd I think is what I heard on the news.

I found the proof. Most of the flags I noticed were hung half-mast.

Yeah when I got to the park today, I noticed the flags at the front were at half-mast and I wondered why. A little later I noticed Sky Trek's flag was also at half-mast. When my mom and I were on STT, I asked what it was about. Then she told me it was because of Ronald Reagan's death.
