Wilderness Theatre

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Behind Camp Cartoon Network and in front of the peaceful Picnic Grove stands an empty theatre known as the Wilderness Theatre. Every often, it's used for certain occasions, but unless there's a show in the Southwest Amphitheater, they could occupy that space. What's your opinion on the Wilderness Theatre?

They should put a show back in Wilderness Theatre, I miss that theatre. I remember as a kid going to watch the dolphins in that theatre. I know that they can not do dolphins again, but it would be nice to put something back maybe themed to cartoon network and tie it all into Camp Cartoon Network! The High Dive show was pretty good as well. Or maybe some other animal show.

Dont expect SFGAM to get animals in the distant future, it is a very, very large expense, usually only put on by year round parks.

If that space isn't going to be used for any reason they may as well tear up the theatre and replace it with something like a free fall ride, a coaster, or a herd of decent flat rides.

They use it. A few weeks ago there was some kind of kids dance off going on down there. Also I have seen signs for award ceramonies there.

Yesterday, they weres a choir sort of competition in there. It wouldnt be worth taking down because then they would have to delay the shows in Southwest Ampitheatere.(sp?)

They use the theatre for competitions/concerts and stuff like that, but are they using it everyday the whole season? Probably not. I mean it's kinda a waste of space to have it sit there and only be used like 5 days in a season.

Plus the days they use the theatre, it's only open to the groups in the competition/concerts. It's not like they will let anybody else view what is going on if the park was operating on a general day.

I would expect a major thrill ride. in my opinion, we don't need flats at the moment. We just recieved 4.
