Hints each year.

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby highroller13 on June 1st, 2004, 3:31 pm
I have found that sfgam hints, the year before of coming attractions. In '01 they had super man shirts filling up the batman gift shops as well as many other things. I though it was just other SF park items but the next year, as you know we got S:UF.

Last year, they had these bears, they had Mardi Gras style clothes. With the Jesters... hat type thing but they were Red, whit and blue. Theye were everywhere in august (when I went) They were in all the game prize bothes.

I have found this to predict the Mardi Gras themed area, and Revolution.

Has anyone else seen these clues ?

Also, there have been some talks that the coaster in the Batman station is future ride, but thats a rumors.

You mean '02. Anyway, I don't think the coaster in Batman's station would be the new ride. That has been there since '03 or '02 I believe, I could be wrong though. Plus it's of BDK at SFNE. Who knows... I'll wait a few more months to look for clues.

Yeah, that video has been there for awhile. I'm not sure, but I think the video is only played because of the batman theme.

Actually, high roller is right. With SUF and Mardi Gras. I wouldnt rely on clothing and scenery to predict new rides though. Leads to many rumors.

I've noticed that they have done that for quite some time now. However, I still think its too early for them to be dropping "Hints" anyhwow.

Plus with a multi-million dollar investment that they spent this year, I am pretty sure we won't be seing anything new for a while.

This whole notion that Great America or Six Flags hints at the following years attraction is bunk. Case in Point: SFKK has Batman the Ride Tshirts in there Flags gift shops and they dont have a B:TR ride.

I find your claims highroller unfounded, people just need to wait til the next year to see if any new additions.

When me and my Dad went two years ago we really noticed the Superman stuff. We were going to by a batman shirt, but could hardly find any. So we bought a Superman shirt instead. That year we were thinkin what might have been going in Whizzer's spot. He thought it might have been somthing to realte to superman. I didn't think so though, but hay we did get the Superman ride. I think it might be subliminal messaging. 8)
Were getting a Water Park! WERE GETTING A WATER PARK!!!!!

Just because they have certain merchandise doesnt necessarily mean that its hinting toward a future installment. No one can make a connection with the merchandise until the ride(s) are up already. Next thing to come out wille that ShockWave is coming back since its in the new commercial. I have heard two facts about the ride recently if anyone wants to hear it IM me or PM me. I wont say them in here because people will think they are rumors.

There is a lot of Dc Comics merchandise in the heroes gift shop. It doesn't mean were getting anew ride. The park just wants more of a variety. Also, Mardi Gras stuff could have been there because of Orleans Place. Also, wasn't Mardi Gras sort of last minute? I think they found some of their rides at IAAPA.

I find that SFI uses either their most popular coasters or best selling merchandise, stick on a sticker that says it's from the park you are in and sell it. I bet if you looked hard enough you could find a shirt from SFMM in one of our giftshops...

The park sold Superman shirts for years before Superman was added. Most Six Flags parks do, even if they don't have a Superman attraction.

Yes, because they buy in bulk from other parks that have those rides. Esp. SFMM if their Superman is down ( it is a lot...) they won't sell as many shirts and have a large surplus of them then.

Do yourselves a favor and don't go looking for hints on what is going to be new, after all, operations of what they have is more important!

I agree with Papas. Shirts can't tell if a new ride will be put in or what it'll be called. Plus my friend says he's seen simpsons shirts and Batman & Robin shirts on display. The only Robin coaster i know of it Batman & Robin the chiller.

Once you see ride pieces then start talking about it. Forget about the items for sale.

Yeah, there are over 10 Superman coasters, so it's pretty easy for them to make an excess or merchendice and for it to be a slow year so they don't sell it all.

Your hats thing makes a little more sense which isn't alot to say but I'm pretty sure it was nothing to do with this years additions.

I bought a jesters hat at sfgadv last year, and umm the ydont have a mardis gras section yet>

Plain and simple: I HIGHLY doubt that six flags would "hint" at anything via merchandise sale. Sfstl sells raging bull t-shirts, but that doesnt mean that there getting a raging bull clone next year.
