Weight Issue

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

With the recent issue of the Superman incident in Massachusettes and the changes that CP has made to MF it made me think of a question in regards to SFGAm. As many of you know, I am heading there this weekend with some friends for CoasterbuzzCon.

My question is this, since CP is enforcing a new seatbelt I am wondering if I am going to have problems riding some of the coasters. I am 6'4 and weigh around 260-265. When I went to CP last year, I didn't have any problems riding any of the rides. Has SFGAm enforced any new seatbelts for coasters due to the Superman incident? I don't want to get my hopes up of riding and then be turned away at the entrance like I have read on Coasterbuzz.com.

Any help would be appreciated.

Eagle's, Viper, Condor, Richochet, Crawler, and Spacley's got seatbelts this year.
That shouldn't make any difference though, if you could fit on before you'll be fine.

the only belt I had trouble with was East River Crawler's, but I was with another person.

you shouldn't have any problem on the coasters. I saw a really big guy on Viper yesterday. he was alone, though.
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.

Thanks for the replies, I have never been to SFGAm but it looks so much fun and I am looking forward to all the rides. Yeah, I didn't have any trouble with any of the CP rides so that is good to hear.

You might not be able to get on Batman, Iron Wolf, and V2 because of their seat belts, its harder for larger people to get on those rides usually.

Well if Batman, IW and V2 are like Raptor, Mantis and Steel Venom/Wicked Twister, then I shouldn't have a problem as I was just fine on those.

If you fit on Wicked Twister just fine you should have no problems with any of the rides.

Another coaster you might not get on is DV, but that is due to your height.

Make sure you wear thin soled shoes. You should just make it then.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
