Ridding Viper

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

The best thing happened to me today. Actually. Probably not best but still pretty freaky. Anyways, While on the forth row of Viper today, My lab-bar defiantly went all the way up during my cycle through the ride. It was insane. Of coarse for saftey issues I pushed it back down but my wait for viper was well worth while. Hmm... Seat Belts save lives. Well, It wasn't a big prob. to me but for non-enthusist it might of been horable. So, as I roll in the station, I quietly told the ride op. what just happened, but it seemed like he didn't believe me, but said he'll keep his eye on it. Anyways, fun times on Viper. :)
Watch out theres a new Hurricane in Gurnee, IL!

Yeah, I had a similar situation happen to me on Cornball Express last year, except that my seatbelt kept coming undone!

I hope this doesn't "instill" furthur safety issues with these rides.

Sounds like Viper is running good.

I did it go all the way up, like it is when there is an empty train, or just part of the way up?

Brian, Yesterday around closing, Id say 1/2 of one Viper train was roped off, and the other train had at least 3 rows roped off also. I just hope that everything is fixed for Saturday and my ERT :)

Mike.

You will be on RB for the whole ERT session so what are you worried about? :)
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

The same thing happened to my friend, who was with me, and we told the ride op, and they closed that row for the rest of the day, it was quite freaky, and it happened to me on Viper too

hey btbcheater you said you were in the fourth seat? Were you on the left or right side? I was on the left side in the fourth seat, leaving the station and this also happened to me today about 10:15 but mine only came up like 3/4 of the way. I told my wife and she couldn't believe it could actually happen.

4th seat? As in seat 2:1 on the left side?

I have had it happen a few times in this seat, usually it doesn't pop up all the way but it pops up 1 or 2 clicks.

Im glad they added the seatbelts because on a ride last year it popped almost all the way up and on the last hill I almost went flying out cause I didn't notice it had popped up going around the turn. I told the ride op's but they acted as if they didn't care.
