Mardi gras section advertising?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I know that at least at my school, no one knows about the new mardi gras section, except for the people I told. I woud think that six flags great america would stop playing the playtime commercial and start playing one about the mardi gras section.

I haven't seen one bit of advertising for Mardi Gras yet, and we probably won't see any advertising until after Mardi Gras opens I would assume. They probably want to avoid what happened in 2001 when they adverstised for Deja Vu and it didn't open until the end of the year.

I know the dancing guy commercial was run for the area around every Six Flags theme park, so Great America would have to do their own thing after it. I think you're right about them waiting for the rides to actually open.

There is a new radio add that is the basic Six Flags add but then it also talks about 5 new rides including Raging Cagin (spin 360 degrees...) and King Chaos (Spin head...). So they are advertising a little but not directly for the new area, which is suprising.
Most radio adds and some TV adds have what are called trailers that can easily be changed. This would explane the slight change already and I would not be suprised if we hear a different trailer later in the year.
Thats what I think!

Yeah I know what you're talking about the trailers. Like when they add "Great America" to the end, etc.
