Does anyone have any ideas for making the long waits in July and August more tolerable? What my friends and I usually do is rate people's (normally girls') outfits on a scale of 1-10...that usually makes the wait go by faster...any other ideas?

When I go with my brother, we make fun of the incredibly ugly people in line. We also pass the time by saying random words, and try to make each other crack up.Hey, it works for us.
Hey don't make fun of me. I usually just don't wait for rides when they are long and I plan my trips on days when I don't think the lines will be that long. I went pretty much went every Sunday last year and only ran into full lines once, and that was the last day of Fright Fest. When I do get stuck in full lines, I usually just talk with the people im with or something.
I usually just play games such as... make sure you don't die from heat sickness in the line, run from the shade to the shade, see how long you can hold your breath, just stupid stuff.
I play stupid kiddie games like... I spy, something (color). Or that one game where you go through the alphabet, and have to find something that starts with each letter. Ex. Player 1 has to find something (an object) that starts with the letter "A". Then Player 2 has to find something that starts with "B". Player 1, "C".... and so on.Lol. I know they're dumb, but it gets your mind off of the long wait. But like CoasterDude316, there wasn't one time last season that there were full lines for me...
Well, if any of you remember in line for the demon last year the corn nuts signs gave you the "TOP TEN THING TO MAKE THE LINE GO FASTER" or something like that, i remember some.....randomly bark like a dog (sadly enough this one works)and when ever the line moves screech like a car taking off really fast.... (doesnt really work..) or what i do with my friends is "act" like we dont know the line has moved untill one whole aisle has become clear of people then everyone get mad and points it out.... it makes it seem like its moving faster because you have walk to get back to where your supposed to be.... very fun (definatly when there is a redneck w/ three teeth behing you talking)

Oh there were half hour lines when I was there in August... the one day and the other day it was a walk on, you walked up and got into your seat. Big contrast.

There were some days I say demons line spilling out (yea i know thats crazy!) yet they wouldnt put on the 3rd train. Maybe the ops copuldnt handle it or something without blocking and stacking. I guess we'll never know!!!

Ive done that before, not only the shift key stuck but about 5 other letters. Had to get a new keyboard And SFGAmFreak if there was a line for Demon I would say the same thing. "Ha, a line for Demon" and walk right past it.
SFGAMkid wrote:SURE HERE'S A TIP.....Only Visit Mondays through Thursdays. That way, there will be no long lines!!!!!
That doesn't help in July and August. I went every Wednesday all through both months and it was terribly busy every single day. I don't need tips on WHEN to go, it's WHAT to do in line.

I don't care how LONG the line is, I find ways of passing the time by.Usually I take some pictures WHILE in line or talk to my friend as we wait. But anyhow conquer the coasters during LUNCHTIME when people are eating. That way the line(s) will only be about 45 minutes or less.
Yeah, but sometimes so many people learn to ride coasters during lunch, that it almost doesn't make a difference... I've never been able to see much of a difference whether it's lunch or not...
I usually just eat a really big lunch at Subway or Burger King across from the park, and then I don't eat the rest of the day. Sometimes I'll get roasted pecans by the Eagle later in the day if I hungry, but usually I just have one meal.
