According to the coupon book, you must be in the park 30 minutes before closing time. No later than 8:30 pm for June 16th, and no later than 9:30 pm for July 21 and Aug. 11th. You get 2 hours of ride time after the park closes on those days. Wed. Jun 16-(9-11pm) and Wed. Jul. 21 & Aug. 11-
(10-Mid.). Also with the season pass, you get in early to the theaters. Get to the theaters 20 minutes early and stand in the season pass only line.
Also you get $7.00 off for a friend every day, just show your pass when they are buying their tickets.(4 ticket limit per day). Plus numerous 1/2 price days for friends and free days for friends.
I should be going in 2 weeks. Being cheap I want to save a few bucks on a season pass. Did they have the signs up for upgrading any ticket to a season pass for $40 this year? I'm not sure if they were up all year last year but I saw them in my last visit in August.
I figure I can use a buy 1 get 1 free or a $25.99 Coke can and save about $20. Can anyone answer that Question?
PS: This is my first post but I've been a lurker since last off season. Looking forward to posting

When buying tickets at the park gate or Jewel-Osco?
My friend got 8 gallons of gas from Speedway and got a buy one get one free thing - which pretty much means around $20... So even if you use the Coke can and get in for $25.99 then go to the season pass processing center and regardless how much you spent getting into the park they tack on another $49.99 or something which would ruffly be cheaper than a normal season pass - or even going in with 4 people to get the $72.99! You can upgrade anyday you want, make sure to keep your ticket stub that you got when you first entered the park - they'll need to see that!
I wouldn't take your chances and try to upgrade a ticket you bought using a Coke can...they might know and then you're out of luck. Just pay the $72.99 and forget about it. Really, how much are you saving. You'd probably spend the savings anyways on stuff like food and souveniers. Even me, who rarely spends extra money at Six Flags, will spend about $40 throughout the year on food.
Okay, an exception, but for the most part, most people spend money on something, whether it be food, games, the arcade, or souveniers. Or attractions like Dare Devil Dive.
I got a job with John Shawn Productions Inc. who does the photos at SFGAm and I get free admission to the park. Would I still need my season pass to go to CAD or would my free admission take care of that?
EDIT: Aero: What do you mean by getting in 5min early?
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/
What exactly is the season pass line? Is it a line to get into the park rather than waiting on the other people w/ their tickets, or is it a line tha tis not near as long for the rides?
The Season Pass line was not opening till latter that day on May 1st. They had it gated off and they were trying to put up a big banner with that old guy from the commercial that said Season Pass Entrance and then in the smaller print it said that season pass holders can use the Standard entrance as well.
I upgraded my ticket once in the park... went with a friend who was not getting a season pass, and we used the Speedway Buy1-Get1. He took the ticket stub that said "COMP", and I took the stub that said "42.99." I had no problem upgrading this ticket to a season pass, even though it did say "Speedway BOGO" under the price.
The sign do just say "Upgrade your ticket to a season pass for only $49.99!" They say nothing about how much you paid for your ticket, only that you have one. At least, that would be the point that I would have argued if there was any problem.

has anyone tried that before? Plus who has pics of the new Season Pass enterance?
P.S. if you have the Green border tickets, you know those Season Pass double ticket/season pass vouchers, can you use that at the Season Pass enterance?
If they let you into the park at 9:25, do you have access to the rides and stuff or do you have to wait to 10 for the rides to open? Any ride early before public without Season Passes?
Why do you need pics? All it is is a big banner saying season pass only enterance. The lines there are shorter. You MUST have a season pass to get into the line, there is a person outside the gated off area checking season passes. And no, you cannot wander the park and ride the rides early. You can get as far as the two chains.

Why would you go to CAD if employees have their own?
