I haven't seen it in person but kind of hate it... ruined the most photogenic spot in the park.
It sucks in person too. The old pond was the only good thing about the entrance. Now this might be the worst entrance in the entire Six Flags chain. It’s awful.

I don't entirely hate it. What I really want them to do now is remove the sign obstructing the Carousel. Maybe use that as an actual stage again.

Also, Siren's Curse is awesome and you should give it a try.

I love the entrance….. what would you do, standing in line for wrath, waited 40 minutes so far, 2 younger ladies cut right by where the regular line meets up again. [emoji848]

They have a website you can use. Scan the QR codes posted in some lines and it will take you here.

Wrath and MaxxForce both have their second trains. Blue side Eagle is testing. The train is testing. All the flats are ready.

Maxx Force was running both trains but went down to one at some point in the day. For some reason though they kept running one train empty until it was finally removed. I caught Bulls yellow train get stuck on the MCBR right at the end of the day.

Hasn't Bull gotten stuck a couple times this year on the MCBR??

American Eagle is testing with both sides at the same time right now. That’s right red and blue are racing again in test runs at least.

They just announced today that it will racing from June 20-Aug 9th as part of the 50th Anniversary Celebration.

Still one train ops on Batman/Superman/X-Flight. Superman’s and X-Flights second train look like they’re close to being ready but Batman’s is still in pieces and nowhere close to being ready. I don’t know what’s going on with Wrath’s and Bulls third train. Someone said in of one Chicago coasters guys recent videos that Bull a no longer allowed to run all three trains to which he claimed that isn’t true. I sure hope that’s not true. So this is a Cedar Fair or B&M problem.

Also you got love that on the parks anniversary they don’t have the two last original coasters open. I know Whizzer is still getting work done but Demon should have been open yesterday.

Checked Village of Gurnee permits hoping to find something about the construction in Yukon... zilch. But did find the tollway sign will be refaced at some point.

The tollway sign has been refaced. I was kind of hoping they would replace the digital screen, too, but that is still the same.

Does anyone know why Viper is now down? Also when will Batman, X Flight and Superman get their 2nd trains?

It seems to me that the maintenance schedule is much worse now under the merged company, in terms of when B&M rides get full strength. It's almost mid-June (almost 2 months into season) and 3 B&M rides are still 1 train

Also Whizzer is still not open. How long does it take to certify the ride? It's not like they built it from the ground up.

I was at the park yesterday (Friday) and at least 9 rides were closed (several for staffing):
Eagle
Viper
Whizzer
Giant Drop
Sky Trek
Rue Le Dodge
Loggers Run
Rapids (no water even on the course)
Justice League

I've been to many other parks in June in past years and almost all their rides were running (and full strength) when I went .

Drop and STT went down for wind. Cables were smacking into the towers pretty good. Witnessed it myself.

I knew these weren't staffing because those staff were reassigned for cross training. Many went to Ricochet and Chubasco for the Drop unit.

Eagle had good reason for being down, they were doing work on the lift pretty much all day.

Sky Trek is back open but everything else previously mentioned is still the same. On the topic of closed things, does anyone know why Yukon BBQ has been closed since the beginning of the season? I've actually been making an effort to try it this year but every time I visit, it's closed.

It's been open almost every time I've been to the park with the exception of one day where it was closed for a private event, probably for that weird Junkies FB Group.

Has it been closed on weekdays?

Does anyone know when the fountains (assuming they're fountains) in the carousel pond are going to be ready by? Or if anyone has seen them testing? Or if they are even complete yet? I'd assume by the 50th celebration event that starts in 2 days (this Saturday), but if not... :?

Has anyone else noticed that first trimbrake (on camelback hill) hardly trims at all now!

BUT, the MCBR brings the train to almost a full stop (used to be more of a pause). Is the latter due to the former??

Also I finally upgraded to a new phone and I installed the Six Flags Great America app! I tried to check ride wait times when at home (just for fun) and the app wouldn't give wait times since I wasn't in the park! Has that happened to anyone else?

App uses GPS, so it won't show you ride times unless you're nearby.

Goku - Is that a new thing? I used to be able to see ride times even at home!
