I understand where you're coming from, but RMC was a brand-new company when they were the talk of the coaster community, so they didn't have any prior track design they could improve upon, not to mention I believe they were the first manufacturer to do wooden track with steel on the track, so nobody really knew how they would ride in ten years. However, Vekoma is a century-old company with plenty of experience with rough coasters that they can use to ensure that their modern track isn't rough. Not to mention new-age Vekomas have been opening for over a decade now, and none seem to be getting rough from what I've heard.

Hopefully the coaster is positioned over the main path and water.

Exactly. The new Vekomas are very smooth. I rode an SLC at America last year and it was very smooth. It had new trains and a fresh paint job. A lot of the Disney rides are Vekoma as well as they are very smooth too.

As for the B&M rattle, Tormenta will be the true test. Wrath has less rattle than Iron Menace does so perhaps B&M has figured out the issue. If Tormenta is even better than Wrath in terms of the rattle, then you know B&M has worked out the issues.

I'd argue the best in the biz right now are Intamin, Mack, & then Vekoma. I know it's going to be a B&M giga down the road but oh what wonders Mack or Intamin could do with limited space would amaze me. So I'm hopeful the B&M comes through for us. A true giga.

Sidenote Staticshadows, no hate to you personally lol but I hate that idea of the SFC going over the midway only because Id love to see it tucked in a corner with some great theming leading up to it & an opportunity to have more kiddie rides around it.

I'm guessing something like this. All the kids rides from Kidzopolis (Minus crazy cars) Will be moved and rethemed. Yahoo River and Crazy bus will also return. I also added the Great chase from Six Flags America (Although not the exact coaster, it is the same model)

Camp Cartoon? Maybe this will be the site of the launched family coaster. Built right next to Sprocket Rocket and extending into the wilderness theater/ picnic grove plot of land? Time will tell

Honestly, I'm really hoping we save Great Chase as well.

But what about the area by sprockets? If we had all this over there, that's several rides & four coasters in the area for thrill seekers in training that would now be on par with SFMM & KI's kids areas. Amazing. I'm really hoping we get a Zamperla Disko "coaster" as well. Love those things. Wait would that fit in the plot along Sprocket?!

Camp Cartoons area is being used as part of the 2027 projectors. There’s construction walls up there with the same teaser signs.

Can't say I am very excited about this since I was hoping for something like Quantum Accelerator (but considering the very mixed opinions I have heard about that ride maybe this is a good thing). I suppose though I'm glad the cat is out of the bag now so we can set our expectations and not eventually lead to an inevitable letdown from overhype (Ala SFFT 2027).

I honestly wish the land would go back to Bugs Bunny National Park, even if it does not have the same rides I feel that the land fit in to Yukon "forest" theme very well. Plus since Great America is the reason Six Flags uses Warner Bros properties, I think it's worth it to keep these properties in the park.

It seems that Camp Cartoon is still going to be utilized as apart of this new area but if that's not the case I would like to see that land used for a new crazy flat ride in the future, since we are working with Cedar Fair now I hope we can see a Screamin' Swing added and themed up like making the support Structure look like Tree Bark and have the swings themed to look like giant Axes (but considering Great America probably doesn't like S&S due to the issues with Maxx Force this may not be their top priority). Or maybe even we can finally get a skyscreamer but paint it to look like a giant tree you would find in Yukon.
Some time, on way to successful, first of steps of all of the steps to being successful steps are hardest of all of the steps to successing.

I still don’t quite understand what is going on with Camp Cartoon. It seems pretty clear now that the family coaster is going in the go-karts area. The teasers and the 2026 map indicate that Camp Cartoon is also a part of this new addition. If it’s just going to be some additional kids flats, why demolish Camp Cartoon and be down two kids rides for the entire 2026 season? Especially if this area is just going to be basically the same thing it was with a slightly different theme.

My understanding is the work is going to be ongoing throughout the season. They already removed the Camp Cartoon sign as well. There is clearly some crates for the Vekoma project that have already arrived.

I'm really starting to think that the kids area and suspended family coaster will be in the go kart plot and the camp cartoon/wilderness theater area will be home to the family launch coaster. With the entrance and station being next to sprocket rocket in the former crazy bus and yahoo river site.

They were originally going to put a Mr. freeze clone in that area. So, a smaller family launch should be no problem.

Wait, JackGlass, do you think we're getting both the family invert and the family launched?

I wouldn't rule out the idea of both a family launch and invert but i also wouldn't say it's happening, i'm kinda waiting for something more concrete about both, or more specifically the launch

The giga tho

Here's the reason I think we might get both the family launch and suspended family coaster.

Keep in mind, this is all speculation on my behalf.

That SFC might have been purchased and originally intended for one of the smaller parks that was sold. So, they decided to move it to Great America last minute.

Whereas the family launch mentioned in the survey, was the original intended coaster for Great America.

Something like Lightning over in Sweden, a Vekoma family launch would fit well in the Camp cartoon and wilderness plot.

Regardless, it's good to see Yukon Territory get the TLC it deserves. Great America needed a well themed and high-quality kids/family area and it appears we will get that in 2027

JackGlass - What about a ride like Fire Chaser Express?? Would that fit in Go Carts area?

Dang. If it were both, & both coasters were the Phoenix & lightning models, aka clones, the "Clone Zone" just way upped its size to half the park.

I'm just patently waiting to see what will happen exactly instead of jumping to assumptions. but it would be cool to get both models and if they spruce them up it will be warranted in my opinion

I think there's a higher chance we get Great Chase from SFAm for a true kiddie coaster to go in the kids area vs getting two incredible new gen vekomas.

Something I thought of for the first time tonight...

Park President John Krajnak was also the park president of Six Flags St. Louis when they opened Rookie Racer, a Vekoma Junior coaster. It was awhile ago, but I did briefly talk to John about Rookie Racer. I can't remember the finer details, but overall he was very pleased with the final product. So I wonder if that experience at SFStL had any influence over the potential Vekoma SFC coming to SFGAm

I think this theory checks out, especially if they want to move the park a bit more in the family direction

I'm really PONDering what that hole is. Would be cool to be a little pond/lake for the kids area. There's alot of piping/plumbing going in. Also really hope the coaster is called "Firefly" now. It's such a cute name.

I don't think this will have a Bugs Bunny theme. It looks to be a generic Wilderness/Yukon theme from the teasers focused mainly on nature and wildlife.

I think Magic Mountain ended up getting the Looney Tunes area that we were originally supposed to get this year and we will end up getting one that is themed to Yukon Territory
